both girls made their points. What I didn't like was Dougie repetitive issue with Lutz's little jabs in the column. Gottlieb does this all the time, he takes a little poke at somebody - makes fun or calls their credibility into question. No harm no foul. But Dougie got all butthurt about it which reminds me of the old saying that I grew up being told over and over: "Don't dish it out if you can't take it."

Maybe Bob shouldn't have stooped to Gottlieb's level in his column but Doug really needs to get some thicker skin.

So the MVC doesn't have good guard play and Van Vleet would have trouble against better guards. Funny, I thought the one thing that the MVC has is good guards with not much in the way of power forwards and centers. See Evansville, SIU, UNI, MoST, Loyola.....

Feel about Lutz all we want, when he was given a chance stood up well to butt hurt, douche boy.

Thought the Rocky theme to open the interview was classic...even pretended to be the boxing PA intro announcer guy "in this corner, weighing 183 lbs..." Intro'd Lutz as from the Wichita Eagle that brings a "worldly" perspective.

DG butt hurt about Lutz's commentary "DG brings a baseless bias without substance." Lutz talked about MVC schedule soft, but undefeated is undefeated. Coming off final 4 year with 4 main players back. On paper even better this year. For DG to see WSU as 3 or 4 seed with an undefeated record is odd. WSU should be, as many basketball experts other than DG are saying, in the discussion as a #1 seed. Lutz's continues to scold DG for going out of his way to over play the schedule excuse.

DG also continued to criticize FVV for being slow and unathletic and will struggle against more athletic guards...even though he has only seen him play once.

I stayed on to hear DG after the end of the interview and after the commercial break...he took a cheap shot on Lutz saying how arrogant Lutz was, and how DG apologized for being so prepared in his case against the Shockers (being obviously sarcastic).

What a FU CKing tool box.

Lutz did about as well as he could of given DG was controlling the show.

I honestly thought DG was taken aback when Lutz called him out for taking the "easy shot" at WSU's schedule. DG took all the easy talking points. Loved how he called out FVV also.. He seems so off in his analysis, I really question how many times he has watched WSU since SLU. Everyone thought Pitt was going to push us around last year.. IMO our post depth is the exact same. Wish BL would have brought up his "not even close" comment in conjunction with making the Final Four and being undefeated. Those two things combined at the very least make the argument close.

When I was at the Final Four last year, at some point during the first half (I think...maybe during the timeout after Cle's thunder dunk), a neutral fan sitting near me told me, "The Syracuse and Michigan fans better not be thinking 'Wow, Louisville could lose.' They better be thinking, 'Oh crap, how are we going to beat Wichita State?'"
