Doogie just went off on another fanboy diatribe. Said what's FVV going to do when he's matched up with the likes of Scottie Wilbekin or Aaron Craft... Yes you heard that right Aaron Craft!!! And he was serious as a heart attack.

The more I read and listen to the real basketball experts (Bilas, Davis, Pomeroy, et. al.) the more I realize how irrelevant Gottlieb is. And if you listen to them you can also tell that they think Gottlieb is irrelevant. Gottlieb cannot get good ratings because of his expertise and knowledge. the only way Gottlieb can get ratings is by stirring up controversy.

Paraphrasing - Gottlieb was trying to bait Coach Self into saying that KU would deserve a #1 seed over WSU. Self did not bite. Indicated that he had not seen WSU play that much but WSU has a perfect record and they meet the "eye" test for a #1 seed.

There is only one way to shut Mr. Gottlieb up and that is exclusively dependent on how our Shocks close out the season on the court.

Regardless of Mr. Gottlieb's opinions it has been one helluva ride and a helluva lot of fun to this point. Nothing Mr. Gottlieb can do to change that REALITY.

There is no question the Valley isn't great this year but it has been tougher than most pundits realize because the Valley the Shocks have actually played is at least a couple of notches above the Valley overall. Just look at the effort, desire and physicality that Bradley brought to the floor last night. That has been typical against the Shocks in Valley games. There is no doubt in my mind that we have absorbed the very best the rest of the league has been able to put together and well above the average effort these teams normally bring to bear. It would be interesting to see how Valley teams have played in the games that follow games with the Shocks. I know on more than just a few occasions it appears a lot of teams had little to nothing left in their tanks after putting it all on the line against the Shocks. The same can be said for opposing fan bases in our 9 Valley road wins.

Helluva job Shocks. Just one helluva job.

As much as it pains me to admit it that was a classy answer by Self. On the other hand, doug is a super douche.
