It all depends on the schedules. You have to realize these guys work 12-16 hours a day - a lot. I will say that if they can, they will but remember they have families too so if you really want them there be sure to invite spouses and kids.

HCGM hinted that from now on they were really going to encourage the kids to play pick up games.

I am going to download the show and pick out another comment that everyone will enjoy.

      I heard that as well.

The show as a whole was rather enjoyable tonight. Like somebody stated above it was the same ol same ol. Alot of questions that pretty much dealt with Day to Day operations which is always cool to hear

Actually, this coach's show is required listening for all Shocker fans.

Yes, you have to put up with Dennis and Ron, but you get a real look at what Gregg's expectations are and I think you can get a feel for where this program has been and where it is going.

One thing i noticed at Applebee's tonight was something HCGM was wearing. He had on a championship ring, probably from the Big South. Made a point of pointing it out to me and my buddy on the way out too.

He's going to get one of those rings from the Mo Valley...
Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.

I'd actually like to see him fill up his hand with them.

HCGM told fastbow and me to be ready for a whole bunch of them...The ring was pretty big though and maybe he'll get enough he'll start giving them away (unless that's against the rules like college my point is we want a bunch).

I heard from someone this evening that they heard from an inside source that the guys don't like Marshall and his style. This is hard for me to believe - - but do any of you have any thoughts or have you heard anything like this????
All I can say is that if this is true (and it could be because most of the players were recruited for Turgeon's style, not Marshall's) then it is a GOOD thing Marshall seems to be over recruiting for the number of scholarships available. The players one would most suspect, at least in my opinion, would be Preadom and Hatch (and guess who are not playing much). But Hatch has said he is feeling more comfortable with things and is getting better and is looking forward to next year (although somewhere on this board I could have sworn that someone said he was thinking about getting married and transferring to Arizona -- did I make this up?)

Apparently Matt is NOT one that doesn't like Marshall's style or he would not be talking about being on the sidelines with Marshall next year. Some of our players may not have liked Marshall's system at the beginning, but don't you think most of them are coming around.

Marshall is so intense that he could scare a small child (or even a grown one) when he gets that furrow in his brow and stares, and stares, and stares -- well you know what I mean. Man, that man has a mean face on him at times. No wonder some CU posters think he is the devil incarnate (of course, they are used to mild mannered Dana with his kindly demeanor).

Anyone else notice coaches resemblance to Jack Nicholson on the posters from the open house?

Hatch is engaged, and last I heard there is a possibility he could move back to Arizona to be closer to home. No idea what school he would attend. Hatch has commented several times that he is having trouble adjusting after two years not playing, especially with Coach's physically demanding practices. If he can get back into playing mode, and continue to work hard, he may stay, but unfortunately would probably be toward the end of the bench.

There is several minutes of dead air at the beginning. You'll need to skip past that.

                        .
You did read that hear. However Coach let that one out of the bag. He mentioned a few weeks ago that during the offseason he is heading home to Tucson to get married and there was a possibility he wont return. IMO I dont think he was saying he wont return but might take that time to evaluate what was going on in life.

This sounds really cool. In fact, I am going to try to set this up. I have a big screen with tons of video games and will probably order barbeque from two brothers (so they can bulk up of course). Can anyone give me some contact information to call the DOBO?

In fact, it sounded like HCGM was encouraging this.

He said this has to be documented and can not be done frequently (once or twice a year? - no specifics on this). I would check with the basketball office before I did this, but it sounds like fun.

HCGM did say that if you invite them over that they will eat as long as the food lasts.

I have done this and I would suggest that any of you that can do this contact DOBO DO and set this up. You will NEVER have a better time.

2 things you need to know. 1)Big screen with gaming attached. 2) More food than you can possibly imagine.

You will regret nothing. It is a blast and the kids and coaches are great.

Occassional means a couple of times a year.

You have to have them over to your home or it qualifies as something else.

I mentioned over the summer about the need for a training table. It really is a really important thing but it kind of has to be done for the entire department, not just one program.

If you can pull it off, do it. I basically plan it as one of the family vacations at this point. It's that much fun, at least to me.
Can you invite the entire team over or do are you limited to a certain number per occassion?
