No it didn't bring it on. That's just ShockerFever's kneejerk reaction to any post that doesn't agree with him. He can't seem to help himself. The more obnoxious he is, the better he likes it. Unfortunately, the rest of Shocker Nation gets the reputation he earned for us.

Please do. You will see its not as bad as you imagine. Make fun of the attendance issues and general apathy, but it is a program trending up. Tons of turnover on the roster lead to a lot of unknowns this year. That with an up and down non conference lead to mediocre attendance. Bad weather is not helping anything (1,050 showed up to see the game against SIU during a blizzard).

Wichita hasn't always been great. Took a mediocre year with a great NIT run to really build momentum to the last few years for you guys. Most MVC schools can only hope to achieve WSUs level. No sense acting like you are above the rest of the Valley. SIU had a hell of a run too and have unfortunately crashed since. Enjoy it while it lasts. Don't act like Creighton did. Everyone knows you despise them so why act just like they did?

Could be fun for a WSU rivalry with ISU. Creighton left and who knows what's going on with Bradley. A strong rivalry with a strong team would be great for both.

We'll see if Muller can build and maintain. Not bad for 9 new players this year. Dana Ford is a great recruiter as you all know. Could be fun.

Let's not ignore the fact that an ISUr fan comes over here to call our coach an embarrassment while accusing another of throwing up obscene gestures at ISUr fans. He uses Marshall flipping out as the reason for the hate but ignores the fact that Marshall flipped out only because ISUr used goon tactics including hitting one of our players in the balls. But we should hold no ill will towards them because it happened under the old coaching staff.

We had a Sweet 16 less than 5 years removed from our "NIT run where we got momentum". What exactly has Illinois State done in the last 20 years? Thought so.

You just let me know when was the last time SIU or Creighton made a Final Four and backed it up with a 19-0 record and Top 5 ranking. Then get back to me.

The act precipitated the reaction by Coach Marshall. If you say all the people on ISU's side are gone and therefore this should be forgotten or forgiven, why do you keep bringing up Marshall's reaction to it. The act happened, Marshall was angry and reacted to it. If you want us to forget the act, then you forget a normal human reaction by a coach that cares for his players.

No offense, but if (and I mean IF) a rivalry started, it would probably be with MSU.

I don't see anything replacing WSU/CU rivalry (the only true rivalry in the Valley IMHO), but one with MSU would make most sense (location, "success", banter, etc.).

I don't blame you for wanting to start a rivalry with WSU (especially with recent history between the programs), but everyone is trying to sign up as their new rival.

WSU has just gotten out of a long, loathful and violent relationship (with their departed partner) and I don't see them hating anyone else any time soon.

Jans walked off the court yelling in all directions and giving the finger. I don't care if anything was thrown those actions are not acceptable from any university representative.

That is a blatant false statement: Coach Jans did not make any obscene gestures. He was definitely upset and yelling, but never gave the finger.

I don't see how you can say that Wilkins shot was unintentional. Part of the obvious ISUR game plan was for Wilkins to rough up Stutz and take him out of his game (if the referees would have called it that would have ended it but they didn't). When this happened, it looked to me when I played it over and over again on the DVR that this was no accident.
