No offense, but if (and I mean IF) a rivalry started, it would probably be with MSU.

I don't see anything replacing WSU/CU rivalry (the only true rivalry in the Valley IMHO), but one with MSU would make most sense (location, "success", banter, etc.).

I don't blame you for wanting to start a rivalry with WSU (especially with recent history between the programs), but everyone is trying to sign up as their new rival.

WSU has just gotten out of a long, loathful and violent relationship (with their departed partner) and I don't see them hating anyone else any time soon.

I still hate Tulsa.

I'm actually pretty excited now that I've thought of it. We're the best road team in the country over the last 3 years and the guys thrive on hostility and chippiness. So with that respect, it'll be nice for once to have the guys feeding off the energy of an away atmosphere, just like opposing players do at Koch. Even though tonight will be the fakest one-time atmosphere in history.

Why am I nervous about this game? I suppose it's just because all road games are tough. Maybe it's because ISUr pulled out of their nosedive and is gaining altitude? Or maybe due to ditching that crappy decaf and getting back on the leaded coffee?
