You can tell the words "Final Four" mystifies them... obviously.

UNI is in the F4 in the state of Iowa.

My guess, and I'm "assuming" here... you will experience Illinois State fans that are much like the WSU fans the Indiana State fan that wrote that article experienced.

I might be wrong here, but I don't think Fever (or any Shocker fan) goes around picking fights with ISUr fans in public while making fun of their NCAA drought and calling their program a joke. ISUr fans are obnoxious on message boards. Shocker fans are obnoxious back on message boards. I'm not seeing a huge issue here.

We, Wichita State, are better than that. We found that with George Mason. We found that with VCU. There are enough INTELLIGENT, non-issue starting fans out there to develop a mutual respect, even on message boards. It isnn't even a minority on the other boards we have an issue with. It is typically one or two posters who we only notice due to one or two posters on our boards spouting off the same jibberish.

I have also seen A LOT of garbage, slander, just flat-out made up rhetoric that spews out against WSU, its coach, its fans, etc. Sorry, I'm just not gonna sit there and take it. Illinois State fans, of all people, are the ones that spew the most. I've visited other message boards and particularly the Illinois schools feel the same way. Illinois State fans are trash. And they've talked about actual personal experiences too.

Yeah, I'm sure there are good ones out there, but if it's anything like their internet posters, it all makes sense.

Were you at the game last year where coins and other objects were thrown at players and on to the court? Were you there to wonder why Jans was going crazy after the game? I could only imagine what was said or thrown to get him to react like that. And then the Muller BS afterwards? This isn't internet message board stuff. That ACTUALLY HAPPENED. In real life.

First of all, I come in peace. Have generally had great experiences with Shocker fans and hope that continues.

With that said, no coins or objects were thrown at Wichita players or staff. The only thing(s) thrown were those cheap inflatable balls from the student section to the near basket. Many boos, but nothing thrown at players. Jans walked off the court yelling in all directions and giving the finger. I don't care if anything was thrown those actions are not acceptable from any university representative.

As far as what happened by the locker rooms I don't think any of us will ever know. There was a confrontation that nothing came of. Adds to the potential rivalry if you ask me.

On a different note the hate for Gregg from Illinois State started with his temper tantrum after being upset in St Louis. Marching into the press conference flipping over ISU name cards because you are upset is embarrassing. Keep in mind that was Jankovich as coach. Most posts refer to that team and all OSU players since as thugs. No players on that roster are still around and only 2 players that played are around from last year. Not sure how seeing a team play once can determine if they are "thugs."

1.) This is a WSU board. We can say whatever the **** we want here. If you don't like it, you can go back to your trashy hellhole known as redbirdnet and mellow around in the classiness of that place.

ISU students getting meth'ed up is probably the only way you'll be able to get them out to your place, as attendance figures and student turnout has already shown, or in this case, a Top 5 team coming in. Just remember, the opposing fans are "guests" here. Calling WSU fans "butthurt" on their own message board wears out a welcome fast and is pretty pathetic. But again, expected.
