I get the feeling FVV is moving toward AA status as a So.

Four letters to summarize today's game: FFVV! I assume I don't need to translate the second F.

Nick looks very athletic by the way he runs and jumps....but man...he is a finesse player for sure. Any bump or something that doesn't allow him to stay within his comfy zone and he looks just like a lot of athletic guys at BCS schools. To me...this difference of finesse and physical style in a particular player is what makes Marshall a master recruiter. Wessel on the under hand is a role player. Set screens and box out type of guy. Unfortunately...either of those two don't develop as scorers this season...I don't know if we can make a deep NCAA run like last year. But it would sure feel good to be proven wrong!!!

FFVV is in about every conversation about the best PG in the nation - and he's a So. I'm certain the second F stands for "Fantastic".

Yeah, the guy who barely made it into the top 100 of the scouting services because they didn't pay any attention to him after he committed to WSU, is now among the top 5 PG's in 4 years of D1 PG's.

Let's see, Top 5 over a 4-year period would indicate that player was probably #1 or #2 (at the worst) at his position in his HS class. I believe #1 or #2 at any position coming out of HS is a 5* McD AA player.

Marshall has never signed a 5* or a McD AA. He's only signed a guy who didn't get those accolades, but is outperforming those guys in college.

You all know who much I love your team, but honestly, I enjoy it a lot more when you're doing it to someone else!!!

Hopefully, we'll get a few things corrected and pay y'all back in Terre Haute. We're better than what we showed tonight. But your team is something! I love watching them play! Screw what the other fans in this conference say - you have every reason to have an attitude. Lord knows I would if my team played like yours!!!

Very nice write-up of the game. However, how can you report on this game and not mention Tekele Cotton's defensive masterpiece on Jake Odum. Tekele was simply superb in his normal unassuming, understated, tough-as-nails approach that too often goes unnoticed. A remarkable player who again goes unremarked by the press.

Outstanding stripes. Great atmosphere. Ass-beating over the 2nd best team in the conference.

We were sloppy, especially in the first half. Could have played way better there. Defense was outstanding.

Wessel has zero confidence in his shot right now. But I love his toughness. The guy who sits next to us lovingly refers to him as the "trash man." He is a great garbage guy. Loose balls and offensive boards.

We watched him closely before the game yesterday. He was shooting like one of the time out contestants. He is really struggling. Maybe he hit 20% of his threes out of the 30 he shot. It's gonna click someday. Hopefully it will be this season. Save Fred and Ron we are struggling to find 3 ballers.

1. Saw Wessel make 4 in a row in warmup. Then he missed a lot.
2. We really need for him or Wiggins to find their stroke.
3. Was this a 20-point win without any dunks?
4. Mrs p went and we sat in our regular seats. One step at a time.
5. Stripe the Chuck was fantastic.
6. I hate the "let em play" bullshit.
7. Marshall comes out of his coaching box too much.
8. Cheese. Jamar. Excellent.
9. Really, really enjoyed the HOF halftime.
10. Lost cell service for the first time in memory. (one granddaughter won, one lost)
11. I continue to be amazed at how "mature" our guys are.
12. Recruits in the house MUST have been impressed.

Watched the ISUb pre-game press conf with HCGM. Wessel not missing anything in shooting drills in the background. Just gotta bring it to the court. Reminds me of myself at the driving range.
