OK, who has the $$$ to have us put the WU Eyes on the ribbon board about 100 times during the K-State/Gonzaga game? Would bug the crap out of the Kitties and give some serious deja vu heebeejeebees to the Zags.Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss

Here are some links to fight the boredom.
Stats from game last year-- http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/gameca...version=mobile
Click stats.
Golden and Makanjuola not on this years team.
Tenn Vols current team stats-- http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-bas.../teamcume.html
They average 76.4 PPG while allowing 64.0, they out rebound their opponents 39-29. The Vols shoot 68% from the FT line. Hopefully our FT defense continues to improve :beguiled:
Stokes is very solid down low, rebounds and uses his body well to get to the rim to score. McRae shoots well from outside and also can take it to the bucket. The Tenn Tech game I watched he quietly scored his share of points. Maymon is a wide load and can contribute some points down low.
Here is the link to the last game they played 12/7/2014 on espn3 against Tenn Tech -- http://espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=400503118 Click the Watch Replay under Tenn Tech logo.
Maymon has fouled out twice this year, Stokes once. I hope this repeats itself in our game. How tightly the refs call this one will be interesting.

Not sure where to put this, and didn't want to make an entirely new thread just for one stat but it's crazy interesting.
Opponents first half points: 256
Shockers first half points: 263
Opponents second half points: 237
Shockers second half points: 350
Taking away the Depaul game for first half, since 52 points for the Shocks is the rare gem in first half points, then it means that;
Opponents first half points minus Depaul: 222
Shockers first half points minus Depaul: 211
To keep the examples similar, we'll just scratch out the Depaul game all together to make the two numbers fair.
Opponents second half points minus Depaul: 199
Shockers second half points minus Depaul: 312

Against ORU, we were getting shots in the paint, and open looks, but I don't remember us forcing a lot of contact on offense. On defense we chose not to get too physical with Glover and double with a guard or Monster with another post.
It's like we go out in the first half, run motion, get in the defensive gaps and see what happens.
But in the second half, hammer down and release the Kracken. I might be completely wrong, just my observation."Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."

The "mother" of all slow starts had to be during last years IBA game. We were down 28-17 at half, the mood in the arena was beyond morgue-ish. Baker, Wessel, and Hall out, Jake with back problems, EO a bum ankle, myself a pulled hammy, smashed thumb and banged elbow (just trying to get to the arena). It was my personal low point of the season. Damn depressing that was. Please let's not have a repeat of that this year. Who did we play that night? Wasn't it Old Southern Mississippi State A&T? Correct me if I'm wrong.
