Early in the UL/Cinn game, the announcers stated that Coach Pitino compared the Bearcats defense to Wichita State. I guess that was a compliment, cuz that game more resembled a conference football game.

That's extremely impressive, considering Syracuse uses the zone to do that.

This was probably mentioned a long time ago, but I was catching up on old episodes of ESPNU's College Basketball Podcast, and Saint Louis' coach was on there. He was raving about Baker, calling him one of the best players in the country.

It was most certainly intended as a compliment to WSU. I'm not a particularly big fan of Pitino as a person, but he sure seems to have some respect for WSU.

When the coach of the defending national champions is comparing the defense of the #13 ranked team his #12 ranked team is about to face as "like WSU's" to the media and his team, you're pretty close to making it.

There were a few wichita state references. Cincinnati plays fast and tough like WSU, UC D is like WSU, Pitino quoted a few time about WSU. UC is good, play with a lot of passion.
