98 tickets for the game on StubHub, hoping some of these get snatched up before the game.

I'm just wondering...who, exactly, will be up watching the game at midnight on TV, other than Shocker or Hilltopper fans? I just don't see many in KC, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Denver, or others staying up til 2:00 am on a Tuesday morning to see our game. There's a reason the only thing on TV at midnight is infomercials.

Spokane fan might watch. It is 2 hours earlier. See what playing angry is all about...it did beat Gonzaga.

Davidson @ New Mexico was in our approximate time slot (actually started an hour later) last year and drew 625k viewers. By comparison, our VCU game had 67k viewers. The tip-off marathon is kind of a big deal.

              Some more numbers:
              Creighton @ WSU 296k
              WSU @ UNI 335k
              WSU @ Creighton 378k
WSU v Pitt 897k (and the numbers explode from there)

I thought you said the banner wasn't gonna drop for this game? What happened?

This was a very informative post, thank you. Do you have a site you get these numbers from (no need for direct links to each game's ratings, just curious for my own benefit)?

I hate these kinds of games. They are just out of kilter on any type of normality that they just make me nervous. I'm sure that HCGM and the players aren't feeling any of it, but just want to get through this game.

Western Kentucky always seems like the kind of team that can bite anyone in the ass. They've been around the block. Shocks need to bring their full compliment of weapons to the battlefield.
