This is an interesting phenomena. Lots of high-profile games are happening off-site. It is funny, and a good thing, to see Kentucky fans complaining about it. The Kentucky's and Duke's of the world are the reason this is happening. There are lots and lots of teams that would be quite willing to play home-and-homes with them. But, as it turns out, road games are hard to win.

Why thank you for those kind remarks. :excitement:

The seats that are left are NOT the best for watching a game either. I hate missing games in person and would not pay $2 for one of the upper bowl seats when I could just watch it at home on a big screen, drink cheaper booze and sit on the couch. I don't fault anybody for not wanting to sit up there. I have tickets to Saturday's game but if they were not lower level, I would be staying home to watch.
I disagree. This will be fun for all who come. I want a sell out.

Had been in Sec. 120, Row 31 since 2002. Moved to another section, Row 21 last year. I love the view from both seats but the older I get that climb from Row 21 to Row 31 without benefit of a railing was too much for the knees and bad ankle. Both seats have great fans around them. I've sat down around Row 7 at the women's BB games but really prefer not being any lower than about Row 12. Don't need to see the sweat pouring off the players up close and personal. I actually get a better view of the play developing in front of me from Row 12 and above.

            • I have sat just about everywhere in Koch Arena for differen events. Very few bad seats and even the bad ones aren't horrible. Been in 118 Row 22 for 13 years though. Hard to give up the extra leg room!!! ;)

If the department ever decides to reseat the arena down the road, I'm hoping my points are high enough to get some of those benchbacks in Row 22 with the extra leg room.

I agree. I sit in Row 10 for the Women's games (the tickets I own) and Row 11 or 12 for Men's games (company tickets). I usually sit in he 1st row of the upper bowl for Volleyball games. I just prefer the view from that perspective. I definitely have no interest in sitting in the first few rows, although I know some folks who love their seats in the corners close to the action underneath the basket (for half of the possessions).

                  • I was able to sit directly behind the bench for one game last year and it's a completely different experience. You can't see anything but listening to Marshall and Co almost makes up for it. I probably wouldn't want to sit down there all the time but I wouldn't turn it down if it was offered every once in a while.

                    • If there’s a halftime ‘puppy show’, I prefer to sit on the front row.

                      • In future years we won't need to use a promoter and worry about sellouts - a perennial Top 10 team and coaching staff will do all the "promoting" we need.

I enjoyed all the seats, probably the ones on the floor behind the bench the least (but those offered some of the best entertainment). If I lost my tickets today, I'd sit in the obstructed view seat in a heartbeat. I wouldn't say that for every team I support, but it's true for the Shocks.
My folks sat directly behind the visitor bench from 80-84. They had two of four tickets with the other two belonging to their friends. The Misses in the other party of two used to yell obscenities at the opponents to the point that their was an Eagle editorial on it. Prices went up and my Dad gave up the tix. Entertaining none the less!
