Louisville fan here. I have been reading your board for the last few days trying to learn more about your team. I'm an old geezer who grew up in Des Moines and remember your teams were always tough against our home town Drake Bulldogs, but have kind of lost track of the Shockers. Yeah, that old! lol Anyway, what a great board you have. Knowledgeable contributors and prideful and enthusiastic fans. Looks like you have a great team and it will be a great game. I personally took Oregon lightly and was amazed to see how fast they were and surprised to watch them out score us in the second half. So, when I read about your team, I am impressed and concerned. You guys are a final four team for a reason. There is one thing that hasn't been mentioned that I would want to point about the Cards that may give you a little more understanding of our team. That is the fact that last year we were the lowest rated offensive team in history to make it into the Final Four. We were ranked #103 by KenPom at an adjusted offensive rate of 105.0). That sounds like a denigration of last year's offense, but it is more an indication of the strength of our "D" last year. Our offense and defense have both improved this year (adj off rate of 117.5). I know you have been bombarded by Cards fans proud of their "D" and proud fans often seem arrogant. I don't mean it to be taken that way. My point is that if you guys can overcome our "D" and score 70 or so points, it will be a great game. Our opponents our averaging about 58.

Just saying. Gonzaga was the most overrated 1 seed ever. OSU has been inconsistent and pretty terrible all year. WSU hasn't ran into a beast like Louisville. Shocker blood will be spilled.Comment
