Just noticed the stats on your opponents in the tournament. Very impressive defense! Four opponents total 79 for 230 fg for a .343 fg% You guys shot at a .426 rate. Incredible defense for some very good teams. The question I have is what happened in your last loss to Creighton? Even with Armstead going 10 for 20, your team fg % was only .343 How did Hall go 4-14?

Pitt - Way too fast
Zags - Way to skilled
Explorers - Way to explosive
Buckeyes - Way to physical
Why not add Cards to the list?

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Overlooked because they are in the Midwest and not in the major media markets. Underrated coach. Balanced team that is fast, strong, plays great defense, and is well supported by it's fans.
Looking at the standings, it appears, it appears yet again WE are the better team. OKC - 54-20. Lakers - 39-36.

I apologize for this fan who identifies himself as a Card fan. He is either ignorant, a child, or a UK fan that some times follow our boards and like to flame out pretending they are Card fans. Ignore him please. I agree about wiping the slate clean. Nothing really matters except what occurs on the court. I was just not sure how Hall could go 4-14 underneath. He is your center, right? Will he pull our center outside?

When it's all said and done the only relevance that the previous 38 games played by each of these teams is that the results have gotten them into the Semi-Finals of the NCAA Tournament.
Louisville no doubt has the advantage of having been here just last year. This group of Shockers are newbies.
Perhaps the injury to Mr. Ware will give Louisville a spiritual lift. OTOH, they will probably miss his presence on the court.
Louisville has more pressure to win simply because they are the heavy favorites to do so, and losing to lowly Wichita State is something that would clearly be a MAJOR failure.
What this game will boil down to is nothing more and nothing less than what the teams can bring to bear for 40 minutes of play beginning shortly after 5 pm CDT this Saturday. It doesn't matter who the better team has been throughout this year. It doesn't matter who the better team was last weekend. It only matters who the better team is Satuday evening. Once the smoke clears on Saturday evening we will have our answer.
This has been a year of firsts for Shockers athletics. Here's hoping the Shocks pick up a couple more firsts on Saturday.
