I believe that Louisville and Syracuse are better teams than Wichita State.

You will have to forgive me after the last two weeks if I tell you that I think WSU could play pretty well against anyone else.
    oh, my.. really?

I understand what you mean, KC. However, it's like he goes off his meds or something. He has no regard to respectful guests, much worse, his own SNers. At times like this, he makes SN his own personal playground where he doesn't care about anyone else. Too bad. He has a lot of good he contributes, but everyone knew if he didn't put a sock in it, this would happen.

We have been scoring better in the Tournament than we did on average during the regular season. OTOH, Duke only managed 63 against the Cardinals and that was pretty evenly split between the both halves. Louisville put up 50 in the 2nd half on Duke.
I haven't watched Duke this year other than that one game. "Tough" isn't how I would define Duke based on that one game. In fact, I might even use the word "soft". I am a big fan of Coach K so I don't mean that as a slight really ... it's just an observation of their players in that one game. There's no way we play soft. Stupid isn't impossible, but those games appear to be behind us. Regardless, definitely not soft.

          I like our chances.

Duke is definitely soft. I was asking my brother before the Duke/L'ville game what he thought about matchups with the Shox and he talked about how soft Duke was. Especially inside. He thought Hall would beat up on Plumlee. I watched the game off and on and had to agree. Tough is not a word I'd used to describe Duke.

              • I'm ****ing embarrassed to see some of the stuff Shocker fans have posted in this thread... I don't have time to point out specifics, but wow.... This is the first time I've read four pages into a thread on here and thought "how did this go so wrong...". What a complete joke.

I'll call it a night and leave it there. I look forward to giving Louisville everything we've got, win or lose. I couldn't think of a better way to go out if we do lose. Louisville has crushed everyone and I for one expect to see our guys step up to the challenge give them the best game they've seen in the tourny.

And this is actually why we may be in trouble. We've scored 70 or more points in all of our tournament games. That threshold seems to be a big key with us. When we lose games, it tends to happen when we're stuck in grind it out, half court mode. Check the Evansville, SIU, UNI, Indiana State, and Tennessee scores. Notice any similarities? All pretty much in the 50's or around 60. We can win playing in the 50's but our odds of losing increase dramatically. I'd prefer playing up tempo as much as possible and Louisville will try to do with this with the press. The key, obviously, is to successfully break it and not stupidly turn the ball over.

I think 60 is gonna be difficult too. If we can miraculously get it close to 70, I like our chances a lot. Anywhere below 60 and we're in trouble.

If we play our game we win...if we play their game we lose. Pretty simple. Play to our strengths--not theirs.

This. That is why I was hoping for Duke. they looked slow and soft. The Cardinals have different challenges they present. But some of their strengths are ours as well. Will be very interesting and am hoping for the best. These opportunities don't come around very often.

If this was a serious question, I want to say it is 3.3 or 3.4, with 8 or 9 honor roll players. Every player on the team has at least 3.0. All fo th estudent athlete honor roll students are honored each semester, once at a football game, and once at a basketball game.

                          • I'll go off the other end - they press, and we break it. Fast paced game - it takes 85 to win :)
