  • I also know for a fact that there were student tickets at 4:30. If they are still some left, you only have until 5 ET tomorrow to purchase them.

Doh. They need a Shockernet allocation for guys like you and @tropicalshox:.

Not sure what you mean by "low--bottom half"...could you explain?

Yes, they are. usually they will let you pick up the tickets either at the team hotel on Thursday or Friday, and if you can't swing that then you can still do the will call window on Saturday.

Sitting in the corner nosebleeds of a 3 tier football stadium to watch a basketball game? Well that'd be dumber than picking the Shockers to make it to the Final Four.
Since they started placing the court at midfield, most of the seats will be in the lower bowl. They usually have the two higher seeds behind the benches, and the two lowers seeds across from the benches (so same setup as the first 4 rounds, but on steroids). I can't guarantee that all of the tickets for the schools are lowers, but a good number are. That doesn't mean they are all good seats however.

My question on this was does the person presenting the student id and credit card have to match the student id. I cant go but my brother could.
Friend of mine was a student at VCU, he gave his ID to his brother and he got in. If your brother looks anything like you, it shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know how close they will check.

That is only for students. Everyone else just has to follow normal Will Call procedure.

                      • Got my 2 tix!! Im only in my 5th year as a season ticket holder and I'm up near the top of Koch, so I didn't know if they would get down to me on the priority list. That's good news for most season ticket holders. I wonder if any will be turned down?

We have 3 in our group who are using other IDs. Needless to say if they are checking them hard you won't be the only one with a problem.

                          • Does anyone know if the tickets are for the entire final four, or just the Saturday session? The email didn't say.

                              • Here is my post from another thread if this is any help :

                                Here's a link to the Georgia Dome : http://www.gadome.com/events_ticketi...l/1304077.aspx

All kinds of interesting links/facts, scrolling down the page there is a seating chart, capacity of the GD is north of 70k. I was wondering if they were going to fill it to capacity or close off some of the upper areas. It looks like the NCAA has chosen the maximum cash grab theory however. On the brighter side I see there is a Taco Mac above Section 209, whatever that is. What the heck, it's a bucket list thing.

                                EDIT:
Here is a quote from an article about last years regional (2012) and the seating capacity, "For Friday's and Sunday's games, the court has been installed on one end of the Georgia Dome, and about half of the 72,000-seat stadium will be curtained off from view, virtually the same setup as for the SEC basketball tournament here last year(2011). But for next season's Final Four -- the dates are April 6 and 8, 2013 -- the court will be installed in the center of the stadium, and all seats will be used". Here is the seating chart :
