Outside of Detroit playin 0 defense that was an excellent game of basketball. Good hard and clean play. Lots of diving on the floor. 2 teams that wanted it.

Marshall said on his post game interview with Mike that this is the way the Shocks are capable of playing basketball and then asked Mike if this was more like the teams he remembered from years past. Mike just laughed and replied in the affirmative. What a great looking game without referee interference, fluid offense on both sides, better D on our side, thought Jake White did a better job on D on the Minotaur than anyone else, Fred VV was way better tonight than any other so far (We are going to REALLY love this guy over the next 3+ years) Everyone contributed that played either D or O. It was a thing of beauty.

Well, back to my home board. Congrats on a nice win in a clean, hard-played, exciting game.

Wow. Early is 42" in the air for that dunk, judging by the rim/floor heights and how high his waist is. And that picture was clearly made AFTER he started declining, meaning he got at least another inch. That is NBA athleticism there (for comparison, Blake Griffin's max vertical was measured at about 35" at the NBA combine)

What a fantastic display of Shocker basketball. Mr. Van Vleet played great and set up that awesome one-hander to Cle. Loved it!
Armstead is indeed a stud when he's efficient on offense and racks up the assists like he did today. It was a pleasure to watch. Almost reminded me of.. dare I say.. Mr. Ragland?
VERY happy and impressed with this bunch. Our ticket was punched today but let's not stop now. We're on a mission folks.
Also I was VERY impressed with Detroit. They are chalk full of athletes. If they played a lick of defense, they'd be Top 25 good. Easily. Also love the Detroit coach. It turns out Bracketbuster gave us a good series in the end.
GO SHOCKS!Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

As far as the Alley-oop goes Fred deserves most of the credit for a perfectly timed and delivered pass. Great finish by Cle. One of the problems we've had with Alley-opps this year is that the passes are coing at or below rim height. That may be OK for an Alley Oop to one of the guards but for guys like Cle its much easier to climb the ladder.
Very entertaining game.
A couple of big baskets that may have gotten lost in the shuffle a little:
1. Nick's trey at the 12:16 mark after a 7-0 Titan run pulled them within 1 at 63-62, and
2. Tekele's trey as the shot clock expired at the 5:05 mark to push the Shocks lead to 13 and perhaps put a dagger
What I really enoyed - Fred having a very good game against some very athletic guards.
Now let's get back to the business of winning a 2nd consecutive Valley title.

What a great game to watch. Nice to know we can shift gears when play dictates. Low and slow to Autobahn speed in no time. How many gears does a Maserati have anyway?
