I'm just glad that the Shocks have shown that we don't have to rely on three point shooting to win as do, oh, the rest of the conference.

If we're making threes, the other team stands little to no chance of beating us. As long as we recognize that we can't hit (cough) White, (cough) cotton.

We still took 21 3's and only made 5 of them. We can get better opportunities than having 30% 3-point shooters just chucking them up. This includes Mr. Armstead too. We are so much better when we run in transition or get it inside. Settling for 3's is really the only thing keeping us from being an elite-level team IMO. Everything else is there.


FVV was 1-8 tonight. I like that he was aggressive but there is another contributor to our low FG percentages. Gotta get better guys more looks.

I noticed that Fred got a lot of minutes (22) in spite of the poor shooting. Gregg wanting him to get some minutes when they counted. Already thinking about next year?

I thought fvv's looks were fine. I think the kid is great he just cannot shoot that well. if he can find his 3 game it will open up a lot of doors. He gets a lot of wide open 3 looks every game

Well said, kcshocker. Speaking as an Alabama football fan, I find that pretty amusing, to say nothing of self-absorbed and delusional. Visits from the Tide have been their opponents' Super Bowl for a while now, and no team sports a bigger bullseye on their shirts or gets a better effort from their opponents -- but the problem isn't their podunk conference (where would they go, the NFC South?). It's that, unlike the glorious Jays, they've actually earned the bullseye, and they and their fans welcome it and wear it with pride. That's the way REAL big boys operate -- not to fuss like spoiled children.

Armstead was in foul trouble in both halves. Early in the game FVV was subbed for Armstead when the Shox offense was in absolute "stall" mode.

That's 2 reasons why FVV got over half the minutes in the game.
