Haha yes. I was just worried about them...they are so cute when they talk about at large.

Oh well. Add another one to the list of good teams they have played and lost to. Heck they should probably get in just because they played arguably the toughest schedule in all of the history of college basketball, as one lifelong diehard shocker for one day pointed out on here earlier...

i mean, this is the moral victory conference after all.

I shouldn't even make fun. The way they lost was almost at the point where I can feel some compassion welling up. Someone help me here.

      • If you taped the game, take a closer look at that play. It looked to me like Jake had just slid over and wasn't really set. NOW, on the other hand, at the other end of the court under our basket, I believe it was Armstead who got a charge called on him and the #?*& defender was still in the process of sliding over, was definitely not set and had ONE FOOT OUT OF BOUNDS.

Just remember that we still have to make a return trip to Frostbite Falls and that might help you get your "compassion" under control. No truer words were ever spoken but that we have to "take one game at a time" from here on out -- even after we get Hall back and later on Baker.

I just watched the replay on FOX SPORTS and the announcer had the gall to say (this is very late in the game when it is clear that UNI was going to lose big) that UNI still had a chance at an at large bid. Basically he said that as of today, WSU and Cu were in and that one of the following three had a good chance for an at large bid: Illinois St, Indy St or UNI.

Lucas and Egelsedar are appalled at the poor execution of the acts they are witnessing.

The guy in the polo is shocked that doing that to a sheep is legal in Iowa

Actually, after beating KU, they were invited to a frat party up there with a turkey.

And Armstead showed about two seconds of frustration and then walked away and kept his mouth shut. :)

I didn't watch the bench after he was subbed out in the first half, but I'm with @Ta Town Shocker:. There was a play in the first half where Cle took it upon himself to go one-on-four and get ceremoniously deposited to the ground and was slow to get up. That gave NIU a five on four transition and earned Cle a substitution.

Like I said, I didn't watch the bench because I am not into sadism, but I can imagine that might be why Cle sat for a while.

That looks like a scene from some German fetish porn.

                          • Cleanthony sat with one foul for about nine minutes in the first half.

Cle failed to get back in the second half. As a result, he got one of the better HCGM "coaching moments" and he missed all of one play and came in at the next substitution opportunity. I was very surprised.

exactly, Jake subbed for him in the 2nd half just long enough for the azz-eating to be completed. You think it was the 1 foul that kept him sitting in the first?

                                I think I found the answer: http://wcfcourier.com/sports/blogs/c...a4bcf887a.html

                                — Cleanthony Early was the star of the game Saturday. The Sullivan Junior College transfer had 16 points on 6 of 11 shooting with five rebounds.

Marshall was asked about his performance, and, if you don’t know the Shocker head coach, his response sums up his way of thinking pretty well.

“What really upset me was when (Early) didn’t get a call, he stayed down on the ground. These are big-time referees who worked this game. This is a Final Four crew, each one of these guys have worked the Final Four. He was in junior college last year, I reminded him of that when he walked over. You couldn’t find his junior college on a map.”
