    That, sir, would be redundant.

          — Cleanthony Early was the star of the game Saturday. The Sullivan Junior College transfer had 16 points on 6 of 11 shooting with five rebounds.

Marshall was asked about his performance, and, if you don’t know the Shocker head coach, his response sums up his way of thinking pretty well.

“What really upset me was when (Early) didn’t get a call, he stayed down on the ground. These are big-time referees who worked this game. This is a Final Four crew, each one of these guys have worked the Final Four. He was in junior college last year, I reminded him of that when he walked over. You couldn’t find his junior college on a map.”

This is referring to the first half though, I believe.

Thanks 1972 (my grad year from K-State by the way) - This is worth posting from the article . . .

"You had to be there – Charles Koch Arena is the toughest place to play in the Valley. The place was packed, and it was absolutely rocking at times in the second half. It's a scary thought as to what it would be like if the game had been halfway close. The fans scream when something good happens, they scream when something, anything doesn't go their way. And that's the way it should be."

I really like their journalist. I wonder if he would want to move up to the big league. He might be a good replacement for Lutz.

A howler monkey with ADD would be a good replacement for Lutz.

Even the student managers took some hide from Cle after that play. Coach Jans was nearly at half court while Cle was pouting, jumping up and down, screaming at Cle to get his butt up and get down court to help his team. Marshall immediately went to White and told him to check in and out came Early. Marshall glared at him as he walked off the floor and simply told him to 'SIT DOWN'. After things were under control Marshall made several trips to rip Cle. I believe Greg Heier had a few words, then Cle was back in the game. It was old school coaching. Pull them, rip them, and put them right back in. Classic!

They said that Koch was the UNI player of the game. At the end of the game, they said that Early was the WSU player of the game.

                        • After StinkyPinky posted about their stud Mitchum, urrr Millwood?, uhh Miles? being able to drive to the hoop against anybody in the country, I peed down my leg and then waited for the awe inspiring display of skeelz like we have never seen at Koch before. Glad I attended the game to see this special athletic specimen -- he was GodMiddleton?God!!!

But just so I can be sure to get it right when I tell my unborn grandchildren about this elite future NBA star, what number was he? Because they all looked the same to me.
