I use that one every game to the folks who sit just to my left who leave early every game. Usually right around the 3 minute mark. I think the score was 69-64 when they left last night. My buddy and I just looked at each other and pretty much simultaneously said "why bother coming at all".

The last low brass cheer was great as well in the arena. Of course, that won't generally come across on the tube or radio because it is during a commercial break.

Wasn't a fan of this chant from the beginning. No matter how you look at it another school did it 1st. That and I can't get over the stupidity of the "don't start no stuff, won't be no stuff". But if no one can come up with something original(myself included), perhaps a good compromise would be to remove the "don't start no stuff won't be no stuff", and simply chant repeatedly the "you don't want to go to war with the Shockers"?

Back in the days in Philadelphia at Flyers hockey games, we sat on the aisle and simply asked people leaving early where they got their tickets for half a game and did they got a discount?

Jokes aside I think the words are fine as is. Sure, I feel a little goofy singing "don't start no stuff won't be no stuff" but the more I sing it the more natural it feels.

I'm a huge fan of the war song. It's catchy as hell and sounds bad ass when everyone sings it with 30 secs left in a shocker victory.

Plus, it was so freaking cool when we were blowing up the Georgia dome with it around the 12 minute mark (IIRC).

It would be interesting if we met VCU in the tournament again.

For the record, I originally didn't like the chant for the first 1-3 games. Then it grew on me. Then in the tourney I fell in love with it for obvious reasons.

This year I enjoyed it because it brought back good memories and it just felt good.

But last night when the game was in the deep freeze and the crowd started chanting it, I got goose bumps. It was awesome.
