Sure looked alot like 5K left to me , crowd that was left reminded me of the avg. crowd back in the Cohen yrs.

As for the 5 hr drive ,, cry me a river LOL I'm an over the road truck driver ,, I regularly drive 7 , 8 , 9 , 11 hrs just to get back to town in time to catch the game,, knowing I will have to do the same the next day,, you'll get no sympathy from me for having a CONSISTENT drive time and regular schedual to work with for attending games. seems all the more reason to me for you to stay for every second you can, if you make that much effort to get there in the first place.
From the road I listen (Tune In radio) at home I watch ( season Ticks )

Wow, that's kind of harsh isn't it? Comparing an average Joe to an animal like you that drives for a living. Love your zealousness thought.

Most of the people I have a problem with are the "corporate, I'm only there to be seen crowd" who think that their company's SASO contribution lets them achieve LA Laker fan arrive late, leave early status. These folks can kiss my arse. Our company has six tickets and we have butts in the seats for the entire time. Okay, I did leave with 40 seconds left in the Western Carolina game so I could make it to Five Guys before they closed. But you get my point.

I don't think you have the ability to estimate. Unless you left early too, the arena was easily 1/3 empty by the time the game ended and really, several minutes before. That's a lot of excuses for a lot of people. I wonder if those excuses would have been executed to leave early if the game was tied with a minute or two left?

        ... No really, deuces.

        • For what it's worth, I don't like the chant. The "You don't want to go to war with the Shockers" part is good. But, the "don't start no stuff won't be no stuff" part is stupid (IMO). Add the lack of originality and honestly I hope it doesn't catch on, would prefer a better chant that starts here. But, like I said this is just my opinion, and either way I like the fact that some people on here took an idea and made it happen, good work!

We have folks in our section that you could use to set the game clock by they are so consistent at leaving early. These folks are mostly wealthier patrons who park very close to the arena and want to be on their way before the hoi polloi get out and start clogging the traffic. They are simply folks who are used to be waited on and are not used to having to wait. They are good folks who provide good financial support to the program but who are at the games primarily to advance their social and business standing in the community and not because they are particulary big Shocker fans. The inconvenience and challenge of waiting around to the end of the game is just not worth it to them. Not everyone is going to be a diehard.

Would love to see us incorporate this into the student section similar to how many are doing Seven Nation Army.

                  • I really hope this chant has legs to last, as it could gain as much swag as the Low Brass (We're Gonna Beat The Hell Outta You) cheer. And guess who starts up the War Chant? LOW BRASS. Via tuba.

                      • Can someone put an audio clip of it on here? Or maybe the part caught on TV?

                          • Is there seriously anything more satisfying than watching the fruits of very hard work paying off in a very big way?

No. This applies to all sorts of things but is always the same answer.
