I'm not even a student at WSU, nor have I ever been. They made it pretty clear to me that they didn't want me.
However, even I know the bit they play at the games. I guess that's what happens when you have been going since your parents could get you in free as a little one.

The school didn't want you? Why not?

I thought WSU was an open admission school

WSU hasn't been an open admissions school for about 15 years now.

Unless you are an out-of-stater, it's basically open admission.

That's what I thought. One of the reason yours truly hangs a WSU diploma on his wall.

The words were on the scoreboard, but it was as quiet, or quieter, than last game. Not a good showing.

Just needs to catch on. They failed to put it up the second time the band sang it. My section was into to it somewhat.

Juco transfer with an Associates. Only three of my classes (5, 3, and 3 credit hours) would be honored, all the rest would be electives. I didn't feel like retaking a bunch of entry level classes all over again when I could start in on my upper level PO classes right away at ESU. I had a 3.5 GPA, and a ACT score of 27 on my record. I still rep the Yellow and the Black, although I do get some dirty looks now and then.

                      • The Power of Shockernet. Props to shoxlax for getting that idea rolling. But I agree, it wasn't loud. I guess some people can't read?

Keep doing it til it catches on. Then it'll be entrenched with the Koch Atmosphere.

                        ... No really, deuces.

                        • I just don't know what it will take to get people excited about new cheer efforts. Super excited to see the words on the big board. However, everyone in my section (119) just sat there. Really disappointing. I still like the chant though. Recorded the game tonight and ran through it when I got back back home from the game. Just by chance the network caught the chant and it sounded great. However, the television crew was right on top of the band. When it comes to crowd unity, why do we only have 3 things we do? Stand until the opponent scores and two cheers. Whoop-tie doo! The commentary announcers talked up the the Wichita home crowd as best they could. But when the camera panned around it wasn't to surprising to see a majority of people just sitting there. Kudos to the little girl who used her blow horn to make some noise! Man that carried forever on the televised game. Yah, as you guys might have guessed, I get fired up and want others to cheer as loud as I do.
When your not practicing, someone somewhere is and when you meet him...he'll beat you.

I was the only one in my section doing it. Hopefully it will catch on.

                            • Does anyone know if the athletic department allows blow horns? Man I want one after hearing the little girl in section 119 making some noise with it!

That's not saying much though, all KBOR regulated schools have the same in-state admissions. 2.0 or 24 ACT or top-ten percent in your class. That's basically open admission.
