There are makings of a good team here, but they're all young and inexperienced (including the coaching staff). I think most Tulsa fans enjoy the renewed MVC rivalries and hope these series continue. We might even be able to give you more of a game in the near future.
Thanks for stopping by. This used to be the most heated rivalry in the mo valley bar none. The coaches didn't like each other, the players didn't like each other and the fans didn't like each other. I would go on to say that the cities didn't like each other either. Here's to hoping the series continues for a long long time.

Indeed. Hope the big fella gets a very warm reception. One of the best kids ever to come through this program.

Well, things happen. Sometimes to both teams. I'd watch intently tonight if I were you.

Listening to Bob and Bruce this morning, Bruce wondered how loud the booing for Manning would be. Bob was shocked, said that it have never entered his mind that anyone might boo the KU legend. Bruce said, "Are you kidding?"

Nobody hate KU more than I. NOBODY. Especially Larry Brown era KU. Repeat....NOBODY.

I won't boo Danny unless he gives me a reason to boo. I guess I don't get it. Remember 1 thing, Danny wanted the WSU job....bad. He wanted to coach here because he knew he could win here. Well, we got our coach, and he IS winning here. I wish Danny good luck except when we spank his team repeatedly over the next decade or so.

Being in a different conference took the wind out of this rivalry, but nevertheless, I too hope this series continues indefinitely no matter how much either of us sucks. I haven't been around long enough to remember the legendary WSU-TU games of the '80s, but watching the old clips and reading the stories convinces me this was one of the great rivalries in college basketball. Good luck to you guys...after tonight. :p

I'm glad Manning never got our gig. He would have been one of those guys who had a couple of winning seasons and then bolted for a BCS program. GM has demonstrated and commented on how he enjoys being here and is not one of those guys who will jump unless there is an offer he can't refuse placed in front of him. He's given us some stability and success. Yes 20/20 applies, but it turns out to be right.

I see no reason to boo Danny Manning either. However, I wouldn't be adverse to bringing this poster to tonight's game:

Manning seems like a classy enough guy. Hell, I don't really hate KU as much with Bill Self. Hated Roy with a passion.

Now, KU fans are another story....

Wish Manning the best in Tulsa, but believe that he will be a wanted man elsewhere when he gets them back up.

I am with you. We are just a good stepping stone to him.

I am getting ready to head out the door to the game. I hope the Shocker fans come through and end up selling out tonight. I am deeply disappointed that there are still lots of reserved and GA tickets available.

I think there will be a smattering of boos. Not a lot. Of course, some of those boos may be for Bruce for bailing on Wichita.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Cleanthony Early is on the court testing his ankle. He apparently tweaked it in shootaround.
