I'm really, really excited about this team.
I didn't have high hopes for the start of the year, as I thought we'd have similar struggles to last year in replacing so many players. I've never been so happy to be so wrong.
We might not be the polished, well oiled machine I expect us to be by conference time ... but the talent level on this team is very, very high. Early is coming into it faster than I ever thought he would. He's going to be amazing. If EO can be the physical, dominant force he showed tonight ... man.Originally posted by BleacherReportComment

EO is raw on offense, but I could see a team maybe wanting to draft him inot the NBDL to see how he develops after 2 or 3 more years. Iowa made 4 baskets that werent treys. I guess that would mean a solid domination of a big 10 team in the paint. But not sure how thats possible, as the Big 10 is a rough and tumble physical league, and the Valley is nothing more than a bunch of wanna be's that just shoot threes."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Any time you have twice as many blocks as your opponent has 2-point baskets, you have a good chance of winning. Granted the sample size is small. I've only seen it once. But with a 100% success rate.
26% of Iowa 2-point shots were marked return to sender. I would wager another 25-33% had the wrong area code.Comment
