This game was so over mid way through the second half that when I woke up it turns out I had drooled on @pogo: who sits in the row in front of me.

Didnt get to listen to the game, but the boxscore shows a hugh amount of playing time by the bench. Not worried,it looks like we used this game to get experience from our bench.

I'm glad Fred has a year as an apprentice. He needs the adjustment time.
Guys need to figure out you can drive into the middle of a zone and dish.
Pass the ball, catch the ball.
The only good thing is that we were able to rest people.
Not sure anybody on the deeper part of the bench helped their cause. Maybe Jake.
Ron needs to learn to take the ball to the basket. Nothing wrong with 10 ft pull up jumpers.

We are 4 and 0 with a long way to go.

The first 12 or so minutes of 1st half was dismal for the Shocks. In laymans' terms, we will call it ugly on ugly. Howard played a zone that we did not seem to be able to penetrate as we settled for oodles of 3's. Then we had a run that looked much better through the rest of the half. Howard plays offense in a way that reminds me of the song by 3-Dawg Nite--"I just want to be your one man band BAYBAY!!!" Even so, I think they out-rebounded us the 1st half by 4? What? What? WHAT!!! Say that is not so Joe!!! Was their zone so great that we could not work the ball inside for higher % of shots?

It seem like we were not in our element most today. Why? Coach is having a late, late meeting with our squad and I doubt it is very pretty. The effort and execution was not at all what Coach expects. 15 turnovers in the 2nd half? What? What? WHAT!!! Coach just said he need 7-8 folk each game that want to play hard with their hair on fire and are engaged and he will play whomever those players turn out to be. With 12 deep solid players, he will be able to find those 8 in each game if he has to it appears. We HAVE to play hard and smart for as close to 40 minutes as possible. This buswax of dreary 2nd halfs needs to stop. Teams like Depaul will take our A game all game long.

D-Will--His best overall game this Season and MVP of the game. He passes folk by that are running as fast as possible while dribbling the ball. He is fast.

Wessel--another nice outing
and he always hustles. Evan is living proof that players develop and improve their game as Shockers.

Hall--Double figures in points but we need to get him more touches inside. No way should Howard be able to stop him period.

EO--Never found his groove today

Baker--9 points and made some nice plays

White--He had his most productive game and was pulverized hard by them on at least 2 plays.

MA--was not feeling good but played a few minutes. 3G was wondering out loud if he could have played more today.

FVV--He is getting it and got more minutes today, He will get much better.

Cotton--Offense was not one of his better games but he always plays the D.

Wiggins--You want a slasher that can score? Wiggin's is the man. He really has come in and done what is expected of him in the confines of the Offense. He is not forcing things.

CL--As I said early on, the addition of CL shored up our inside game for this Season.

Early--Not his best game but he is one of several key players for us.

As a team they played very uninspired basketball today. That won't fly with Marshall. He will get that fixed soon I am sure.

Whatever you do, don't go to MVCFans and suggest that MEAC/SWAC teams shouldn't be allowed to be division 1. Reverened Wright.... errr AceDad has a complete meltdown. Unbeleivable what a supposed moderator gets away with on that forum.
