What's absurd here, to borrow the word from the Troll Formerly Known as KC Shox, is this whole thread. Some local loudmouth decides (successfully) to stir the pot, and the paranoia and inferiority complex that's always bubbling just beneath the surface among many Shocker fans boils over.

It would be interesting to know what HCGM will be telling prospective recruits in the next couple of months. Coaches going up against him for a recruit will be using the (will he be there for your four years) argument. I hope HCGM nips this thing in the bud today or tomorrow with a presser to say I am here and I am staying (sorry I guess Roy Williams has all ready played that card). Speaking of Roy...I think HCGM will have another shot at the SC job in the next few years if he desires just like Roy did at UNC. Patience grasshopper...all things will come to pass.

Marshall leaving to SC is unlikely so I'm not going to be bothered by this stuff now. Since we are trying to get one or two more '08 recruits, I hope Marshall's name is taken out of consideration soon.

That is so true. Noone has mentioned him and again, by the time he is ready to make an announcement by the end of the season, sc will already have someone hired.

IF it happens, maybe Turgeon is ready to come back and clean up his mess. After all, it was reported he was complaining about the fan support in College Station and how he misses the passion in Wichita.

Well, I think we could tell him to shove it. He couldve stayed if he wanted to and he doesn't want to come back. On a personal aside, he was a jerk and we not only have a better coach (as time will show) but also a better person in HCGM.

Probability of Coach Marshall being hired by SC - 0.075 x 0.25 = 1.88%

I must admit that "going home" is a very big incentive for some. There are many examples. My fav is Bear Bryant. He came to A&M and revived the football program. He truly was god-like in Aggie Land. Before he returned to Alabama, he said, "I hate to go, but Mammy is callin'."

Chances are slim that Marshall is leaving and none that Turgeon is coming back.

I just heard that if Marshall leaves WSU, the university was going to scrap the Men's basketball program all together and convert Koch arena to a swimming pool and use the Men's basketball funds to start a women's water polo and syncronized swim team.

All current players would be offerred scholarships to start a new Men's badminton team for the university.
