No. But maybe, maybe we will join them in the A-10 in some far away future.

Lol I love you guys. I never knew VCU was such an aweful school! Now I can hate them appropriately. Go Shockers!

Over the last 12 years, VCU has averaged 5,300 fans per game and 1,400 season tickets a year. It takes them 11 years to sell as many season tickets as we do in one and a half. Considering a pair of front row seats at Koch Arena goes for $24,000.00, I would suspect our average ticket price is much higher as well.

It reminds me of an age old question.. If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it does it make a sound?

Cold, some UNI panthers are going to be really jealous when they watch what we are about to do to the VCU sheep.

Are you implying that this stuff will be selling like hotcakes in Cedar Falls tomorrow night?

Let's look at some classy posts by VCU fans.
Anything less than homerism is not respected by me. Yes, we all have our share of homers and obnoxious fans, but as long as it doesn't get personal, it is all fun. I honestly got a good laugh from the Shoker he used the word Suck a lot. I expect nothing less.
Back to thread topic. Wichita State better get some lube because it's going to be painful for them tomorrow night.
We beat them at their place. We beat them on a neutral court in the NCAA tournament. I am ready to beat them at home and be done with these losers.
I have been to wichita several times although never been to WSU, have some nieces that have gone there and one that is there now...i have never been impressed by anything in wichita...its generally, cold, windy, bland and boring...their idea of excitement is watching the wheat grow and the cattle graze. My wife is from Kansas & we fly into wichita. The airport is bland as hell. Nothing but brick and mortar...We were there last month for a week and the place is just downright boring...of all the places for my wife to be from ! I love my wife but certainly dont look forward to the annual trips to the place that time forgot...maybe they will come into the 20th century one day...our cell phones dont work very well there and wireless internet is considered a luxury ! Go Rams !
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I've honestly never heard any ESPN commentator talk about how great the VCU atmosphere is. Yet WSU is repeatedly cited for its rabid fanbase time and time again.

If VCU wants to know what "big time atmosphere" is, step to the temple that is Koch Arena.
It's not the size of your Koch that matters, it's how you use it...

The "big time atmosphere" you probably hear about is related to noise level, fan involvement, and how difficult teams find it to win there.

VCU's 85.8% all-time home winning percentage ranks 11th in the country. That's better than Ohio St (19,000+ fans), North Carolina (21,000+), Indiana (17,000+), Syracuse (33,000+) and a ton of other great home court advantages. (Wichita State ranks 78th, which is also pretty damn good).

Also, I'll add that I've watched VCU play in front of 75,000+ (see: Reliant Stadium, 2011 NCAA Final 4)...and while I enjoyed that experience, I'd probably take Cameron Indoor as a home court over that any day (although that is sort of the extreme example on the large end...).

Looking forward to an exciting game tonight. Seems we have a decent little rivalry here...

See, we need more moonshine stills out on the plains.

I imagine that's going to go down after a few years in the A-10. Enjoy bragging about it while it lasts.

                          • Its going to be a raucous atmosphere there tonight. Our Shox should be use to the noise though having played in Koch already :)

                              • I know it's very cliché, but I just want this team to get better every day. I'm not expecting an at large quality resumé with so many new players. I'm just hoping for a team that will come together by conference play and be ready to take St Louis finally. If it comes together quicker than all the better. I'm just not going to get too crazy with my expectations.

I'm expecting a loss tonight and maybe even a big loss. I just hope we are better tomorrow than we are today regardless....etc. Doesn't mean I won't be on the edge of my seat pissing my neighbors off cause I am screaming at the TV....cause I will. I'm pullin for a big win. Just not expecting one.
