VCU is in Richmond ... Didn't our namesake, John Sedgwick, visit Richmond in 1862? Didn't his friend, a Mr. Grant, return there for a longer visit a few years later? I believe a Mr. Sherman and friends were strolling through the Carolinas, on the way to see Richmond, when the party was called off on April 9, 1865.

It is time for Kansans to return to Richmond and, under the banners of freedom and unity, march to victory while sweeping aside all the billy goats, doelings, wethers and other ruminants inhabiting Richmond. ;)

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Explore recent crime in Richmond, VA. SpotCrime crime map shows crime incident data down to neighborhood crime activity including, reports, trends, and alerts.

I want you to look at this map, realize that VCU is in the center of the highest crime activity, then bow your head and thank God you didn't go to school there...

Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Thanks for the clarification. I thought he was giving Carl the ol' wet willy.

          re:

I think its hilarious how they brag about their "big time atmosphere" and sold out arena when they seat a paltry 7500. You're right, why would CH want to play in front of 10,500 when he can play in front of 7500?

I've honestly never heard any ESPN commentator talk about how great the VCU atmosphere is. Yet WSU is repeatedly cited for its rabid fanbase time and time again.

If VCU wants to know what "big time atmosphere" is, step to the temple that is Koch Arena.

The VCU coaches & players remember the atmosphere two years ago during the last 4.7 second debacle game. The Koch was rocking. They can't match it...no way, no how.

I heard Mr Sherman was doing a real bang-up job redecorating Virginia. He was using too many blaze orange hues. Ever see moonshiners? Interesting biopic on life in Virginia. 'Tickle' is a season ticket holder of VCU.

Find and compare College Basketball odds, betting lines, totals, and point spreads for the 2023-24 College Basketball season & March Madness.

We open up as 4.5 point underdogs. That's not bad considering we're bunch of inexperienced newbies playing against their veteran, Final 4 bound lineup, led by the greatest coach in college basketball history, at a deafening venue packed full of 7500 that everybody raves about as being the best atmosphere in all of intercollegiate athletics.

I think Vegas is giving us some respect.

Agreed, figured we'd be at least 7 point dogs. Obviously we all want a win here, but I'd pretty pleased if we beat the spread on this one.

Honestley.. I would rather send a son or daughter to the University of Afghanistan before VCU.

There have been nine armed robberies over the past ten days on or near the VCU campus
You can't make this kind of stuff up...

VCU students fell into several categories: heroin users, meth users, people with multiple tattoos, people with multiple piercings, people with multiple piercings that you didn't realize were there until you were in the middle of having sex with them and discovered that you had all this shrapnel to navigate around, and also some people who weren't in the art school.
The Ku Klux Klan's number was in the White Pages! Is that normal? I never noticed it in the White Pages of any other place I've lived.
Also, all the prostitutes that you were likely to encounter around VCU were cross-dressers. There were no exceptions to this.

Except for their next game, I hope the VCU Wethers have a great season. Their board is pretty funny. (Can we trade UE for VCU in the MVC? Please? :excitement: )
