For example, I have discussions going on with a couple platinum BJ's regarding conference records and admission standards. Right now both discussions are hanging.. begging for my response. They are tee'd up and ready to be driven deep into center field but I hesitate. I do this on purpose.
After revisiting the issue of BJ college admitting a mildly retarded student athlete and then basically committing educational fraud for the duration of his academic career, DoubleBJ quickly brings up the sanctions we received in the 80's from KU for loaning a kid a winter coat. The immediate response to that is to say that if BJ college was willing to allow the admittance of a student athlete suffering from mild retardation and then hire a secretary to write his papers while advising him that he will be successful in life if he continues to enroll in classes such as: "Marksmanship and Theory of Basketball", imagine the things they weren't caught doing. Their efforts to defraud the NCAA were premeditated and comprehensive. This was no booster slapping a player on the back and giving him free tickets to a concert, this was a total institutional effort involving deceit and malpractice.
But that retort most likely won't appear because I have been causing too much trouble. Frankly I am surprised at the latitude given me.
Oh, and welcome back ISASO! Lots of things to be excited about this year!

I found I can get away with a lot. I don't know why, but I have only had one comment deleted. Maybe its because they don't take me seriously. I just hate it when the apologizers get rolling. After every post, someone raises a white flag, and says we are not typical WSU fans and he's sorry, blah blah blah.People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do. -Isaac Asimov

Kickboxer was on a couple of nights ago on some bizarre channel on DirectTV in the high 500s somewhere. LOVE that movie! So bad, it's good kind of movie.
I am disappointed I screwed up on the Tong Po-Chong Li quiz. That's sad.

Here is the problem with most "conference" boards.
1) Typically they're owned by a fan of a team in that conference. (Sometimes this causes bias)
2) The loudest people are heard. This is how it is on all boards. Meaning that typically the loudest members of a board are the trolls, the people like to incite arguments. These members tend to be the ones who sign up on these conference boards.
3) Unless you know everyone in a discussion is respectful, level headed, and willing to DEBATE, not argue, it's just fubar. The average Shocker fan and Creighton fan are not going to agree on much.
4) Why would anyone want to be surrounded by rival fans? I still don't understand that angle.
5) When you have a high amount of inflammatory posts from all sides, if you start moderating it heavily, you're viewed as infringing on people's free speech. If you let the inflammatory posts go, your site is viewed as a cesspool. If you pick and choose who to moderate, you're bound to be viewed as biased.
I just don't get why anyone would want to go to a site like MVCFans.com. It would be easier to turn on Honey Boo Boo if you wanted to melt your brain away.
