Pohto's interior defense has been good the past few possessions.

We won and needed it. HCPM needs to teach these Shocks time mgm. skills. It was almost reminding me of our undefeated Season when we beat SW MO St. When we were down at half by 20. The bears kept fouling us and rushing into turnovers as we were doing tonight to almost blowing a 19 pt lead. The 3 throw misses by UAB really helped us

A win is a win, I guess. We have a plethora of Non clutch players. It is hard to tell which one will step forward in any given game.

I have been critical of Pohto this year because he has been bad most of the year.
Not tonight. He was very good tonight. It seems like it is mental with him. Wish he could get his head right consistently.

Went back and watched the replay of the missed one and one where the UAB player got his own rebound. Radio guys were saying he was over early. He might've been over just a tiny bit early but it wasn't that bad. What was much more egregious was Beverly and Rogers just standing there and letting him run right through them. Neither made any attempt to put a body on the free throw shooter. It's just basketball 101. Stuff that isn't being taught by this coach apparently

Have to attack a zone press not play scared and shy away from it - that's coaching. Hopefully the guards and the coach learned a little something. Nice to see the team win and except for the 4 TO's Rogers carried us the first half. I've been down on him but he had the hot hand tonight.

Kinda awkward looking when HCPM was pulling away from the sideline reporter chic at the end of the game. She had to call him back as he was bailing. What was that about? Does he not want any facetime? Weird.
