So, after this game, thoughts of how many we lose in OOC play? Do we now think Missouri and K State wins are better than 50-50 chances? I say yes.

First game attended this year… some thoughts….not wading in game thoughts so if I miss/ repeat, apologies…
* crowd will grow I assume, but what WAS there was pretty vocal… and at one point it was very loud
* crowd is old… including me
*LOVED the offensive flow of the games...ACTUALLY from both teams...not a lot of standing around, much movement, great passing looks
* loved the concept(I guess it's that)of all crashing the defensive boards...owned it, especially early
* thought defense played very well...Richmond hit some long shots that seemed well defended
*Highlight??BIJAN....NOTHING BUT FUN AND ENERGY....can't wait until he can play!
*Loved Beverly's postgame comments with MK....
Great coaching effort by Mills and the staff....not much room for error with 7 kidsLast edited by molly jabali; November 30, 2023, 08:01 AM.

I thought the crowd was decent tonight. North of 7,000. The best attendance of the year. The fans who were there were into the game and loud at times. It is feeling more and more like the Shockers we all love. I really like the players on this team. TJ Williams was at the game and they introduced him on the floor and announced it is his birthday. I'm thinking we can win a lot of games this year. BTW, we have the best overall record in the conference at 7-1. I may start looking into attending the tournament in Fort Worth.I won't tolerate rude behavior

A few thoughts:
1. First post-game interview I've listened to in 3 years.
2. First coach who had anything interesting to say in 3 years.
3. I really like Beverly on the radio. Said he couldn't wait to play in HCPM's system.
4. Diggin the big men looking for each other in the offense.
5. There are 13 trombones in Shocker Sound. That is dope!
6. How long are QB's arms? Dude is a quick jumper.
7. Crowds are growing in size and intensity. You can feel the vibe. It's coming back. I like it.

Why can’t that dude win a jump ball?

For fiscal year ending June 30, 2024 we will be paying out roughly $3 million.
For fiscal year ending June 30, 2025 the payout is roughly $2.5 million.
For fiscal year edning June 30, 2026 the payout is roughly $2.5 million.
For fiscal yeae ending June 30, 2027 the payout is roughly $0.5 million. Should be done by Thanksgiving 2026.
So only $8.5 million to go. Pretty good job security for our current crop of coaches. Not that there are any we need to get rid of.
That kind of financial mismanagement, however, can leave a bad after-taste with the big $ donors. Still using a bulldozer trying to fill the hole that was dug.
