Who would the scout team even be. We dont know yet because everybody is so freaking good. We cant even agree who the starters should be because so many guys, even the new ones, have awesome resumes. I think I read that vautravers was transferring down to play more. Is it possible that we live in a world where the bottom of the roster this year could be people as good as wessel, baker, mitchell, green and maybe hawkins if somehow he shows up. Thats awfully good...and I'm avoiding throwing fvv on there just because I think he will get more minutes although he may have his own work cut out for him stealing minutes if the right other guys like cotton can hold him off. Ridiculous. This team is ridiculous.

What's EXCITING to me is that after the starters, whoever they may be, play 7-10 minutes, the off-the-bench guys will be playing the off-the-bench guys from the opponent for the next 407 minutes. If the other team doesn't substitute, then out starters return after 12-16 minutes to face a whipped, beaten and dog-tired group of starters of the opponent. Second half, rinse and repeat. Or like the OU Boomer Sooner song, "second verse same as the first."

For sure. I enjoy the fact that most of these guys seem pretty intelligent in the interviews we've seen. I would like to think that coherent sentences that make points and arrive somewhere come from guys who are going to have some basketball IQ and coachability too.

Basketball IQ has been questioned when it comes to some former players. That seems to be something that 3G and company have been focusing more on lately. Or maybe that's just how it's happened lately. Basketball IQ has cost us a couple of games the past few years.

I'm onboard with that. I see hall like the backstop at center. As in, if lufile and orukpe aren't ready to be starters, at least we have hall who can play very well at that position. It's as if to say the TEAM will be fine because we have hall. On the other hand, I want lufile and orukpe to be ready enough to take away that need. As far as halls future is concerned, he needs to develop his game into a versatile Pf because of his size. His body is a Pf so ihope for him and his future that he emerges this year offensively and that would take him to the next level.
