At any point during his contract, Mills can earn a one-time automatic one-year extension, which would include total compensation of $1.914 million for the 2028-29 season, if Wichita State wins at least 25 games or wins a conference regular-season or tournament championship.

Very fair contract for both sides. I am thankful that the money was available to get it done. I wasn’t confident two months ago that this was feasible. Bring on the Paul Mills era!

They were. Obviously, ADKS was able to convince the big boys to pony up to the bar. Kudos to him (if that is truly what happened). I think we will eventually figure it out.

As SL stated WSU Athletics was broke. I witnessed this in kc last fall when no band or cheerleaders made the trip. Some one or a group came up with the money to get this done. We may never know the back story but that won’t stop some from thinking they need to know every nuance of this event

Perhaps Saal has been fundraising all fall/winter also. They did pay $10k or so to send spirit and band to Fort Worth. So hey....there is that lol.

And we are getting ready to go to Daytona in a couple weeks for Nationals. Although that was mostly from their own fundraising lol
