If IB can't retain the core, he needs to go.perigo.period. You can't keep replacing 1/2 or more of the team each year and expect something different than what we got the last 2 years.

ADKS needs one on ones with each player to see what their thoughts are on the program, coaching and possibility of entering the portal, with or without IB.

I think they are disappointed too, and would welcome the talk. Players aren't shy about entering the portal, so I think they would be honest as to the reason why and giving their thoughts on improvement. It's in their interest to do so.

It simply comes down to whether a new coach can or will accept a backloaded guaranteed contract. If so there could be a change. $4mm is a lot to overcome. But it might just happen.

Saal came in here with one key specialty. Raising money. We’ve got a whole lot of that from people in wichita where this spread is but a blip in their pocket. AND they’re unhappy with Brown.

I might just really want Brown gone, but imo I’m going to be deeply disappointed with Saal if he doesn’t get this done. There’s been lots of reasons commented that shed a different kind of light on this fire being worth it, including butt in seats, donor withdrawal, Brown getting hired elsewhere, not to mention the consequences of waiting another year.

also - Saal promised us early, repeatedly, that mediocrity is not going to be tolerated. That we’re going to be a winning team. He sold me on that, so now it’s time for him to deliver. ****ing fire brown and bring a winning coach that doesn’t have to play in to the ****ing AAC tournament.

And to those saying Brown had gotten better recently. Yes, you’re right, I agree. BUT his much improved team still failed to defeat a mediocre Tulane, let alone compete with Houston, Memphis, etc.

So I’m just going to say it again.

In an ideal world, Brown takes a job elsewhere.

Not only because it would save $$$ for WSU and they could hire someone that would be a better fit, but because IB is a good man and could be successful in the right situation.

We don't live in an ideal world though. Tough decisions have to be made.
