I think it's approaching 100% that he gets another year. The mitigation clause makes it easier to make a change. That gives Saal a two-pronged approach. He could find the next landing spot for IB and have a new hire lined up in a year when a lot of P5 schools are looking.
Tough year to make a change.
We'll know more by Monday. SN could get interersting in a negative way depending on what we know Monday. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Isaac Brown has been into my place of business. He's a nice guy. I thing the Gregg Marshall situation is ridiculous. And I am a student of the 90's.
WSU was in a position to be quite relevant nationally. But right now, without knowing the plan, I don't trust WSU.
I agreed with someone earlier who said they liked Brown and wished he was still an asst. coach.
I want better. But Im not sure if we get rid of Brown that we'd get better. Brown's best hasn't been good enough. But I blame Wbl's leadership.Phi Alpha

My $0.02 as the season comes to a close. I was all in on the fire IB movement but these last two months have shifted my thought process. Having the stones to scrap your offense in the middle of the year and switch to something completely different was a fantastic move by IB. From January 19th on we had the 5th best 2pt FG% in the country. The ball movement was there. The shot selection was there and it resulted in shooting 60% from 2. From that point, we were the 61st-best team according to Bart which is right around the bubble area. Our offense was top 40 and our defense was 104th. I will say the offensive change took our top 50 defense and set it back ways. But it still seemed like we were in more games late in the year compared to early.
If we play the entire year like we did the last two months we probably have at least 3 more wins (Alcorn, USF, KSU, OSU, UCF, ECU just to name a few that slipped away) and we are sitting at 20-12 and right in the mix for at least the NIT; possibly more. We took Mizzou and KSU to the wire. We hung with Houston and Memphis in both games. I don't think this team was that far away from being "good".
I don't think ADKS would be in the wrong for getting rid of IB but I do think there was enough of a glimmer to let it ride another year (especially with our current budget fiasco). My biggest worry is firing IB and then Walton and Pierre are gone. The Mississippi stud is gone. We have some pieces coming back that could be fun, but I fear it could be another complete rebuild if we hire someone else. With St. Johns, Georgetown, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, etc all open is there even someone we could persuade to pick us over them? I think there is a lot of risk in cutting ties, whereas keeping IB would in theory have a good group coming back with a blueprint of what needs to happen in order to win.

ADKS needs one on ones with each player to see what their thoughts are on the program, coaching and possibility of entering the portal, with or without IB.

Not sure anyone believes IB is cutout for that.
