I know a guy that has 12 seats near the court and he's not renewing any of them. We've seen multiple people on here say they're not renewing. I've seen other on FB and Twitter say the same. I have friends who'd talked about getting them but it makes no financial sense right now because they're overpriced for the product we're given. On top of that, it's going to be an entirely new team, which limits fan excitement.
It's going to be another poor year for ticket sales. I don't see sponsorship or other donor givings increasing. Poor product and poor leadership will lead to poor attendance and poor giving.

There is so much downward momentum for the average non-power college basketball fan it shouldn't be a surprise everybody's apathetic. I mean, how many times can you get kicked in the nuts before you turn around and walk the other way?
Now Shocker fans have had a whole other level of pain. We are currently experiencing a symmetrical outlier move to our Final Four Golden Era. From the mountain peaks and down into the valley.
But there are traces of progress my friends, nobody can take our Innovation Campus away (*pauses for a moment, looks to the ground nervously while clearing throat, then runs to some wood and knocks hard*)

Would anyone in the Wichita area be willing to give an interview for KWCH tonight about the movement and thoughts on NIL? I was reached out to by KWCH but since I'm not in the Wichita area I don't think I'm the best fit.Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!

Truthfully, you don't want me. I'm agnostic. I doubt we would get anybody better right now.
BR was involved in the AAC deal, he was involved in the Wedge deal (WHICH WAS THE ABSOLUTE CORRECT HIRE AT THE TIME REGARDLESS OF WHAT HAPPENS). Yes he gave IB a 3 yr contract but WTF else was he going to do after the dude won the conference championship his first full year? To not give him any kind of contract would literally be courting the social justice warriors. Truthfully, I don't think IB has an IQ over 75. But when he was signed, we still had years to go on 3.5G's contract, the games were played in empty stadiums, I mean... he deserves a little break on that one. The players loved IB, and he was fairly "cheap". Then Teh Portalzz happened - Teh PayChexx happened. Now homeboy is like, "Shiiiit, nucka fittin' to get paid! Peace coach!"
We are all hurting and we want somebody's blood. But sometimes you just have to bend over and lean into it a little so it gets over as quickly as possible. Belt knows we want to cheat, he knows everybody is currently cheating, so Belt needs to get to cheating. If we don't have a couple mil loaded up next year to sign some nice 4* ballas, he needs to get the axe. This town absolutely has MONEY for Shocker basketball.

That shows a lack of vision and stupidity on his part. Anyone with half a brain should have seen this coming a mile a way and had several plans in place to enact whichever one became clear was the path to go. Instead, he chose to sit around and eat cheeseburgers which is apparent from the picture of him above. Good lord what a waste of a great institution and opportunity. Clean house now please!
DB is hoping he can hang on long enough for all the good schools to depart, and by then wsu mediocrity and 2 star recruites will be good enough to be compete at the top of Mid-major AAC.

“We didn’t spend as much sweat equity on pay-for-play because it was our understanding, as it was a lot of people’s understanding, that NIL was not going to be an obvious recruiting advantage,” Boatright said. “We knew there was going to be some gray area and it was going to be about how comfortable you are operating in that gray area.
Boatright was thumbing his sack while all our players got bagz from athletic departments that could take the temperature. The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

A competent executive when faced with uncertainty would simultaneously devise multiple plans for various paths to implement once further information becomes known. Maybe he should consult with the business school on strategery.
