I'd actually avoid most topics revolving around Marshall. The goal here is to unite for change. The marshall firing is such a divided thing (one side thinks he should have been kept, the other thinks it's insane to consider keeping him). We don't want this campaign to turn into a Marshall thing. Or people think it's just disgruntled fans trying to get him back. That's a non starter anyways for multiple reasons and will only hurt participation from a lot of the fanbase.

The question about not doing a national search is a valid one though even though that ties to Marshall. Let's just focus on the specifics that are really killing us right now. Like why we weren't prepared for NIL, why there seems to be no vision or drive to improve athletics and facilities after the move to the AAC, why is there no plan for the future, no transparency. And yes absolutely why did the AD get a 37% raise during not only one of the worst periods of shocker sports but during one of the worst economic times in recent history.

I have to echo this. Don’t make the website about Marshall, that will destroy any credibility this movement has. Make this about NIL, transparency, vision, facilities, fan alienation, poor contract structure/negotiation—ANYTHING but Marshall.

I thinks some strong disinfectant is needed. The say the best disinfectant is sunshine. Let's have some open, honest and complete transparency as to what has transpired, exactly where we are financially and otherwise and what are the plans and goals moving forward. It may not be what I really want to hear but most anything would be better than the status quo.

I echo this as well. As bad as I want Marshall back this has to be about Boatright and everything that is wrong with the department currently in order for it to be taken seriously.

Not sure what DB could say at this point to reverse coarse. Not only too little too late but the sleaziness of not being transparent in an extension and 37% raise is very difficult to accept. The guy is invisible. It's like he's being smoked out of a hole. The #1 question I would like to know is what percentage of our donor base has been lost?

An update for everyone:

Had my convo with Taylor, professional and excellent as always. He is planning on speaking with DB on Sunday so we will hopefully get some form of answer to our concerns from the AD before we run billboards and go fully public with this.

The response to this is truly incredible though, Shocker fans are unmatched throughout the entire country!

Did tayloreldridge speak to DB? Or are we moving forward?

Even local media is starting to build some momentum.

Just wish the would call out Muma on why he thought he deserved the raise and couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

I have not spoken to Mr. Eldridge today. I will ask him tomorrow for any updates, as well as hopefully hear something from the Lamar folks.
