  • McDermott is in my good graces after the woke cancel culture tried to label him a racist for something dumb he said. Seemed like everyone around him cowardly feigned outrage. Still pisses me off.

    • KU starting to get every call.

      • I was just flipping channels and came across KU vs CU. They were showing a rerun on a sequence where KU fouls three times but CU got called.

Nothing ever changes. Back to the WSU baseball game.

        • Congrats to the cute little upstart midmajor. They gave it their all.

KU is garbage and any competent team with a pulse would’ve taken them down. Not impressed with them at all. They’ll succumb soon enough, despite the cakewalk bracket that was given to them.

Yes. Even Creighton. McDermott got my attention one year when they beat us in Wichita. My daughter and I went to the 9:00 Mass at Blessed Sacrament church the morning after the game and who was in the pew in front of us? Mr. and Mrs. McDermott.

            • As a guy that watches and pulls for Creighton, they may have played their best basketball today, considering the circumstances. They lost their point guard four weeks ago, and Friday, lost their 7'1" rim protector. Their first off the bench 20 mpg guy has been out since late January with a hip injury. Slowly, their rotation shrank.

They played today with a six man rotation and no big. And they almost beat Kansas. The players they used today are not great, but McDermott has grown into a hell of a coach. The way he adapts his roster to situations and strengths is amazing. For eight years, they relied on offense, this year they became a defensive juggernaut. I know you guys despise Creighton, but they are nothing like the Dana Altman teams of old. McDermott doesn't put up with the P'Allen Stinnet type. All really good guys.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I wanted them to win today. I dislike Cretin less than KU.

Toupee Bill was clearly outcoached today

                  • I had to root for Creighton. Grudgingly, but I hate them less than KU.

                      But sure, they’ve been “exposed.”
They weren't exposed to me. The game went about the way I expected. Carolina underachieved? Do you think you're having a dialogue with uneducated Shocker fans? Oh, wait...

The fact that UNC is in the Atlantic Coast Conference had absolutely nothing to do with where they finished in their conference? Right. Baylor's fortunate Manek didn't play the last 10 minutes of the game or you probably wouldn't have made an appearance. From where I was sitting UNC looks like they'd be the best team in the b12. If not them, then surely Duke or the Irish would be.

                          • Pointing at the scoreboard is “bad for the optics of the game” has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard…

He might as well just thrown a chair across the court.
