When the NCAA takes 3 to 10 years to "investigate" violations (10 years to say no penalties for UNC's no class classes and 3 for KU's 5 Schedule 1 violations), it's pretty obvious the P5 and the cheaters control the NCAA.
Add NIL into the deal and schools like WSU and conferences like the AAC are on the wrong side of where college sports are headed. Lax enforcement and "legal" NIL deals that have reached $8mill for a So in HS QB have put non-P5 FB schools into a second-tier status.
It's no longer about coaching. It's about who can buy the players. Baker and VanVleet would have had major NIL offers after their Fr year F4 run. For schools that don't have huge NIL deals waiting for players it's about coaching, but that's for schools that are no longer among the top programs.
