As athletic as Memphis is, they’re better off playing against Gonzaga in the half court. Their big guys are gassed and Gonzaga runs the floor so well on offense.

Gonzaga has trouble guarding Memphis’ bigs in the half court. They haven’t seen guys this athletic all season.

Penny's getting outcoached, and Gonzaga is a better team, but Memphis COULD win this game with their unique talent.

9 years ago, it was WSU as a 9 seed going down to the wire against 1 seed Gonzaga and coming out on top. Those were the days.....

As a guy that watches and pulls for Creighton, they may have played their best basketball today, considering the circumstances. They lost their point guard four weeks ago, and Friday, lost their 7'1" rim protector. Their first off the bench 20 mpg guy has been out since late January with a hip injury. Slowly, their rotation shrank.

They played today with a six man rotation and no big. And they almost beat Kansas. The players they used today are not great, but McDermott has grown into a hell of a coach. The way he adapts his roster to situations and strengths is amazing. For eight years, they relied on offense, this year they became a defensive juggernaut. I know you guys despise Creighton, but they are nothing like the Dana Altman teams of old. McDermott doesn't put up with the P'Allen Stinnet type. All really good guys.

As much as I hate Memphis I'm not sure any other team but Gonzaga could have beat them tonight.
