How do they enforce it? Is the NCAA going to enforce MVC by-laws and tell Coach Marshall that he can't be at the NCAA tournament?

I just don't see it happening. If by some insane reason they did suspend him for a game in the tournament, I would be just fine with Coach ignoring the suspension and daring them to do something about it next year.

Regardless of what the by-laws say, the conference has no power to enforce anything outside of conference games. Maybe they could suspend him and then punish him in the conference games if he ignored it, but I think that would bring a lot of controversy on the conference.

I certainly don't know for sure, but I don't think the Valley has ANY standing to suspend Coach Marshall for any games outside of the MVC.

      I could be mistaken.

You may be right, but the bylaws don't distinguish between conference, non conference or post season.

Hey, didn't Van Vleet/Rockford play tonight?
Rockford Auburn is ahead of Huntly 32-13 at the half in Sectional Semi-finals game.
VanVleet has 12 point in the first half.

          Yer welcome.

            Thanx.

Van Vleet is a winner, thru and thru. The tape don't lie.

Doug Elgin can suck an egg. The tape don't lie.

Here's the deal. I am just glad nobody got hurt or in a rumble during that barn yard game. Stutz was used and abused in my opinion but never resorted to violence. As for Marshall, he stood up for his team as well as he should have. Early in his WSU career at the Lew, Gregg was booted by a ref who called the 2nd mysterious T on him as he was walking away. Then of course the Creighton game at the Lew and the mysterious slow timekeeper. Now this game as the ball goes out on Illinois State with around 16 seconds and the Redbirds instead get the ball? What's up? Soon, a foul is called on us with around 6 ticks left. Oh well, that has happened before with less time than that. Some people get all the luck? However, after all of those unfortunate breaks, I have delayed purchasing my lottery tickets. I was surprised Coach did not get a T in the game but instead he wanted the players to decide the game on the floor. You know what? I like the idea of letting the two teams on the floor decide the game. That is a good thing.

How about a reprimand for that dirty thug Wilkens?

I absolutely LOVED how Coach responded to Elgin with a big SCREW YOU. This conference leeches on us and then spits us out to dry. I'm so over it.

That last one was the big insult. Attention hoe is bad. ADES lover is unforgivable.

"While I regret my choice of words in a public forum, and insinuations
that could have been made as a result, my thoughts regarding the game
                    remain."
Coach Marshall really gave Elgin the finger here - does anybody else read between the line and think this is foreshadowing Marshall not coming back?

You sure are obsessed with trying to get this board talking about whether Marshall will or won't be back.....

I like the idea of boycotting St. Louis for a year. What would happen if Koch Arena had a watch party(s), complete with SASO donations in lieu of expenditures on fuel, food, lodging, and tickets? Or perhaps we could donate to the Humane Society in honor of the Marshall's, or use donations for purchasing tickets that are commonly unused by corporate sponsors and give them to hell raising fans who have lost jobs...etc. If WSU sponsored an event, or encouraged watch parties at local establishments we could all tell the MVC to stick it and benefit our team without sharing with the other schools who piggyback and bring nothing to the table. Watkins and Elgin need to go

I completely understand why shock fans got GM's back and if he were our coach I would probably do the same. That being said GM reminds me a lot of a coach we have here in Nebraska - different sport and larger profile but similar. Both are extremely passionate, fans like them cause they win (although several don't think he wins enough and tire of Pelini's antics), and they both beat to their own drummer. The thing that I know you can't see is that the guy looks like a complete a** to everyone else. I know he might have been offered other jobs and probably will be gone after this year but I guarantee you his childish behavior has cost him jobs or some AD's won't even look at him, they don't want to deal with that ****. Good for you guys though, the longer you keep him the better you'll be. I don't think there are any coaches left that can instantly bring an all american with them :)

Save your fingers, I'm already sucking it, going to hell, eating sh*t, sCUm etc etc etc.

                                Good luck next week
