If we weren’t bad in our league this year, and if we didn’t have a coach who knew nothing about fusing personalities and talents together for the good of a team, I’d listen to you. You’ll stick up for IB no matter how many facts stack up against your arguments.

I don’t know that I’ve ever “stuck up for IB”. Definitely not in my post you responded to. But, feel free to create your narrative.

No denying that Teddy is a tremendous talent who has shown at times that he can carry the team. Not sure why you wouldn't ride that as much as you can.

You stuck up for IB all year, and you did it in a back handed way in your post above by putting down CJ supporters.

Did you see the NMSU set play score right after the TO? We used to do that too. I don’t think I saw one of those all yer this year.

Got home and turned the game on when UConn started making the game close again. Saw Teddy with multiple bad possession shots, where he didn't even look to his open teammates. It just happened again. His teammates clearly have the ability to score as well. It's weird that we criticize our own players for doing what Teddy has done in the second half, while calling him a "tremendous talent" and "they should ride that as much as possible".

Yes, they scored on a TO play, that didn't involve Teddy, and on another set that lead to a dunk, that also didn't involve Teddy.

EDIT: as soon as I hit "post reply" Teddy got an offensive rebound, went up for a layup in traffic and got blocked while his teammate was in the corner wide open.

You're right. Teddy Allen = Tyson Etienne.

Waiting for anything of substance from you to prove me wrong. Please defend the shots Teddy has taken in the second half.

That 3 he just hit was a pretty good come back with substance. No?

That's the same shot w/ the same defensive coverage that this board would have called a bad shot by Tyson, so no.

Then he followed it up by slowing down a fast break so the PG could give him the ball and took a second bad three.

How's that any different or worse than IB letting TE dawg and ride or die and play hero ball every game, other than NMSU actually had success this year, and is about ready to knock off a 5 seed?

LOL, NMST is shooting 65% from 3pt, Teddy Allen is at 35 points is 4 of 7 from 3. So I think whatever your argument is will just fall on deaf ears.

You are so wrong. Teddy was 10-24 / 4-7 / 13-13. The rest of the team was 13-26 / 7-10 / 0-0. Why do you think that was?

                              70-63 final. NMST advances.

Be nice to say about the team I support.

What am I wrong about? He made his shots. Most of them weren't good shots, and our players have been crucified on this board for less. My point wasn't that he wasn't hitting his shots. My point was that this wasn't good offense, but most of the board has a narrative to stick to so they're going to act like it was.
