Except Stevenson is/was a jackass who tried to sabatoge the program and was a ball of discontent from the second he arrived here.

TE is a character guy who will change his game if he has to for us to win, I’m fairly certain.

You cannot compare anything about the two as basketball players because it goes way beyond statistics.

No one will ever pay me the big bucks, or even a penny, for my basketball advice, but Etienne had to have some bench time tonight with the opportunity to watch Jenkins taking his spot on the floor. Might lose the game by using Jenkins, but it was obvious the game was going to be lost sticking with Etienne the way he was playing.

Starter at the 2 for the next game should be interesting. If it's Etienne, Jenkins might as well declare for the portal immediately after the game. If Etienne can have games like he's been having and keep his starting spot, then there's no chance Jenkins will see the court until Etienne graduates. Etienne's NBA tryout on the court this year is going to ensure he doesn't leave early and that he never sniffs even a G-League roster.

IB better be doing something to get TE's attention and it needs to be something the fans can observe, not just chatting with him in his office.

That’s a big knock too because it’s supposed to be one of his calling cards. Right now he’s a one dimensional player.

DD plays stupid so many times. For example TE finally hits a 3 pointer and its waived off because of Dexter illegal screen. Every game there is just bone head plays after bonehead plays.. The Shocks can 5ake a big lead and he throws the ball away on the break. He and RC4 lead in bonehead plays except when QG is not falling down going to the cup. I am sick of this dumb play.

It would be something different if our team was getting overwhelmed because we were playing much better talent. But that is not the case. Our problems are usually self inflicted.

My quick .02 before I retire for the evening:

Hats off to KState for finally playing. Their fans were mostly respectful tonight, at least the ones I ran into.
I did not think WSU fans were their usual top shelf selves, for whatever reason.
Scoring around 60 points a game is a recipe to get beat a number of times. We win more than we lose, somehow, but it is what it is when you can't score.
This isn't breaking information at all, but we are small and not as strong as most P5 type teams. We're also very weak at the PG and now we're likely down a PG for some time. That does not bode well for the future, but those that wanted to see more CJ, here you go.
We had a couple of chances to put them in a very bad place, and simply didn't win the moment.
Too many atomic bombs, courtesy of poor ball handling. Don't see that changing much any time soon.
Can't fault the effort.
I am concerned about the future in that how long can we keep fighting this hard IF we don't get the results? I fear the wear will be too much.
Gotta defend the pick and roll better than that. But it's tough when the opponent is so much bigger.
KState was really good defensively. I don't think that's helping us get ready for Houston, Cincy, Memphis.....and we can't hope to outscore SMU.
We can't overcome size and poor PG play (poor ballhandling across the team). Someone else said it earlier, we play hard, but that's only going to take us so far.
HCIB does NOT owe the fans an apology and he damned sure doesn't owe us 3. They're trying, and I respect that (and I'm NOT making excuses for the poor game). It's not like he's getting overwhelming support from fans, boosters, admins alike.
I think we can shelve the Mo bashing for a bit.
8 assists seems like a generous scoring bug.
Bruce Webber is not the worst coach in the country, by a long shot. But he's kind of a dick and I will rarely cheer for Kstate.
Band was good. Dance and cheer were better. Love those 00 dance unis. Very sharp!
Intrust did a nice job. Understaffed, but I don't know what you do there. Tough to get people to work those jobs and hours.

Tyson’s shot selection is because Coach Brown allows it at the least, and possibly sanctions it. He IS the man in charge who needs to have control of the offense.

Wrong as usual. TE starting the next game should not have any impact on CJenkins leaving. That a riduclous statement. Coach IB needs to man up and get TE under control. Shot selection and team ball is the requirement,. And it would be graet to see an offense that got other players like RC4, JP, and KP sots. If TE doesn't comply then there needs to be significant more playing time given to CJenkins. It doesn't have a dam thing to do with who is starting.

RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even Lutz understands. You can sit TE down on the bench if he is taking bad shots. That is the job of the coach. And it is also the job of the coach to come up with an offense that gets his good shooters good shots. When do we see it ? When?

I agree. His D is so valuable. To the point where we pretty much go 4 on 5 at the offensive end with him nowadays.

It's really like 2 on 5. Don't forget that Porter and Pleasant rarely shoot the ball. And when the 3 subs of Grant, Council, and Jackson come in, they might give us a little more shooting, but they all seem to play out of control.

It's folly for me to critique IB, but this is a message board and I do have an opinion.

When IB made the big substitution in the first half, that unit immediately gave up a big run and lost the lead. IB made the same substitution in the second half with the same result. When it was obvious the second unit was losing the lead in the second half, perhaps putting some of the first unit back on the floor may have helped.

Leaving etienne with a green light from anywhere under any circumstances when it was obvious he was missing badly is on IB.

I don't put the inability to run the offense on IB. GGG had similar problems running the same offense. Shox just don't have the players to make that offense work. Some of that is on IB. Pleasant and Grant are not the missing pieces to make that screening offense work.

Etienne calling for a variety of screns whilo holding or dribbling the ball and looking for a way to get his shot, instead of setting something up to feed Udeze borders on insanity - and that's on IB.
