Awww. Thank you for the compliment.

A little surprising you didn't post a Chris Farley gif. It's makes everyone laugh when you do that, since you're so funny! Almost sophomoric actually (looking at your post as an example).* And not knowing time zones isn't what makes you retarded...

      • B12 and their fans are desperately trying to hang on to the “we’re better than you” narrative.

Maybe they should have given the AAC schools the whole song and dance several years back pretending they were seriously looking to add members only to tell them to kick rocks.

Now that the shoe may be on the other foot, they don’t seem to like it.

Imagine, KU and KSU having to get permission from WSU to join the AAC. What a day to be alive that would be.

          • It's just funny because after all the talk, the only conference getting picked at is the Big 12. Colorado, Nebraska, Mizzou, A&M. Now Texas and OU. No idea why they didn't add Cincy, Houston, Memphis and Tulsa or some other schools years ago. It was plain as day where this was headed and expansion to 16 was inevitable. It will be interesting to watch. WSU should be a little leary, but I think that the conference likes us.

Also, if we do nab a good portion of the Big 12, just think how much fun we'll have at the Power and Light in KC for the conference championship!!

The nightmare scenario I see is if the B12 powers see the writing on the wall (if 1 or 2 more leave - the conference dissolves IMO) and decide to move forward, but create a new branding and combine from the AAC and Big 8 what they want. They then pick and choose what they want.

              • I would prefer the Power and Light District to what I experienced in Ft Worth during our abbreviated stay for the AAC Tournament two years ago.

This is the scenario of OSU stays. I just don’t see it.

The branding is the only reason those schools have value. Without the brand they have to hope they can get their autonomy status and potential guaranteed CFP spots. They also then REALLY need ESPN and if ESPN wants them under the AAC instead ... are they going to get the value they want? They have to have a media partner to be a valid conference.

                        • Some of the weirdness I'm not following while reading some news about all this realignment is why is there some chatter that OSU has the better chance of going to the Pac or some other P5 than KSU? What's the difference between Manhatten and Stillwater I ask?

My initial reaction is that OSU has a much stronger football team and brand over the past however many decades. At least that's my perception.

Yep. Take a look at football viewership and wins over the past 10-15 years. Those schools are not relatively close for the most part.
