  • Toure was fantastic with his mid range game tonight. He didn't jack up the 3's that drive us all crazy. He didn't dribble too far into the paint and commit TO's. The player we saw tonight is what he needs to be. BE YOURSELF TOURE!

David was also what we needed...catch and shoot, although a couple of shots were off the dribble, which is what he really struggles with. AND WTH David...did I see you take it to the rim? Tell me it aint so!!!

    • Missed the last 12 minutes on the DVR due to FSN HD going dark, but for the 28 minutes I did see, I really felt like the Shockers worked the ball inside out and it was a thing of beauty!

Nice win tonight! We can look REALLY good when we hit our shots from deep.

UNI was the #1 defensive team in the conference coming in. They hadn't given up 80 since the 2009-2010 season!

      • Nice chant at the end of the game by the students, with the "We Want Creighton" Chant.

When the Shocks get the surpass and clip the birds, then we must talk. We have unfinished work and we need some big shot makers like Matty B. several moons ago to lead us to the Dance, through Omaha. They will be hungry because they are on a losing streak. We will be hungry because they beat us here and we want the SHIP!!!!!!!

I didn't really get the chant because we get Creighton next. They are on the schedule so we get what we want.

            • Our RPI surged up to #18 at .6166 from .6133 with this win. SoS improved to 65 from 69.

The ball is teed up high heading into Saturday. Time to shatter the glass ceiling and surge into the spotlight.

Rags and Stutz were also huge tonight. What about the Clutch Stutz and Rags will take us to riches? When Kyles gets hot, his whole game steps it up a few notches. You are right. Toure' is at his very best when he plays his mid-range game.

But hey, its kinda outside of the box, so more power to the students.

                    • David said on the radio postgame that he had been in the gym working on his shot til 2am, that is some Xavier McDaniel dedication for those that remember X.

'Might not be a fight FIGHT.. but I would suggest that the Shox start chewing blood out of raw meat for the next three days. Laugh if you will, but that gives you the power + the speed. 'Old proven trick, over and over, never lets you down. 'Sounds hardcore for an amateur sport, but ANYTHING to get at them BJ's

I imagine that a good deal of thanks for the RPI boost is due to UAB for their win over #7 Southern Miss. That said, this win sure felt good for so many reasons that have already been discussed here.

Nope. I definitely liked the crowds energy and the student section was great! I just think sometimes we say or do things that don't make a lot of sense.

All in all it was a great night and I am extremely happy where this team is headed!
