  • I thought Garrett also took a three in the second half but he may of had his big toe on the line.

How the eff did we lose to Drake?
We didn't play badly, we just couldn't shoot it from the outside. ISUb played a very good physical defensive game tonight. We couldn't shoot it from outside and they packed it in tight. If we were going to make baskets, we were going to have to grind it out and make them while getting bumped everytime. They have some athleticism (Walker), and they had won 3 games in a row prior to tonight's game. I have to hand it to them for doing it on the road. Next time they may not be able to do it on the road.

As for Drake, as most of the Valley, they are a much better team at home. That's why the second place teams through ninth place teams all have a 500 or so record. That's why ISUR still worries me a lot. We'll have to win a close one there too.

Drake lost at home tonight to Missouri State by 18 (39-57). But your point is still valid. If this Indiana State teams is the 8th best team in your 10 team conference you have a pretty solid conference.

There were over 30 empty seats tonight in section 108 lower bowl alone tonight.

There are fans who work hard every day and pay good money to attend Shocker games who have to sit up in the rafters because you silver spoon snobs are too good to show up. Something needs to be done about this. I don't give a diddly damn how much you may have donated to WSU or the Roundhouse Resaissance we don't need your kind holding tickets and not getting butts in prime seats.

You would think if they can't make it to a game they could give or even sell (there is the WSU ticket marketplace if they have absolutely no friends) their tickets to someone else. They are PRIME SEATS. They are the best in the house. They should not go unused.

And it particularly looks horrible on national TV.

Double checked the game log earlier... remember that play I think looked at one but passed it to Rags.

            • Stutz was outstanding tonight. He really took control of the game in the second half. Carl Hall added 13 points but only had one rebound. We really need Carl Hall to start rebounding again. We also need David Kyles to find his shot again.

But I won't complain tonight, this was a nice comeback from behind win. And several guys on the team contributed to the win.

              • Stutz was a man tonight! As to Drake, Simons is out with mono. He might miss some significant time. Simons scores 18 a game. Drake lost by 18. Go figure...They would have been very good if Van Deest hadn't missed this year. They (in theory) return everyone next year.

                • I would encourage you, the proverbial choir, to post any extra tickets here on the Shocknet ticket exhange or somewhere! I found decent seats at 6:15 last night..I'm not proud of it..on Craigslist for face value. Grabbed my college age son and drove and hour each way, ate an Annex burger and enjoyed the game. It's probably me, but it irked me on the way down, the 1410 pregame talked about you should be able to get tickets for 10-15 dollars at the door. Where? There were 10 total tickets through the Shocker ticket office and exchange at 6 pm and all were row 29 and above at $31.25.

Add this to your perspective, from Paul Sullentrop's Wichita Eagle game notes: "WSU swept the regular-season series for the fourth straight season. The Sycamores lost for the eighth straight time in Koch Arena."

                    • A couple of general responses to the Dr. and other thoughts...
-totally agree about the bench getting shorter...understand the 8 man thing, but the guys who HAVE come in at times have acquitted well....
-I feel for Kyles...did he even shoot? On the other hand, I'm not sure he's always 'in the game'...when Demetric fouled out, Jans literally had to Shove/remind David to go to the scorers' table...how long have you been playing?BUT he did play hard.
-I guess I don't get riled up about the scattered empty seats..I'm not a season ticket holder, and the reason is, I can't make about half the games, and don't want to waste the money.
                      -Refs were incompetent
-said it before...Odum is a kind of player who I'd love on my team
-we always look lethargic coming out of timeouts...

                      HOWEVER....20-4!

                      • Garrett plays half a game and we’re 20-4
We make one three-pointer all night and we’re 20-4
We get out rebounded by a shorter team and we’re 20-4
                        We shoot 24% in a half and we’re 20-4
A mediocre shooter goes off on us and we’re 20-4
We found a way to go 20-4
                        Just win baby

                        • Too many empty seats, too bad.

You can't have a program without those donors, so ya might oughta cool yer jets.

I was hoping to see Kyles shoot.

Dunno what Rags' attitude is, but this is about enough.

A couple of times it sounded as loud as it has ever been, hope it came across on TV.

Those refs sucked. "Everybody travels" is not enough.

I swear, every one of our stupid shots is immediately followed up by the other team scoring.

Stutz had 18 points in the back half. I woulda thought he had that many boards as well.

Both teams shot like ****. God.

                          Press more. Lengthen the bench.

I just rewatched the game and he did put one up from long range with just under 5 mins to go but it looks like his right "big toe" was indeed on the line.

                            • My colleague at work who attends many KU games told me they instituted a new ticket usage policy a few years ago. Since tickets are accounted for by barcode, it is easy to tell when they get used or not. I'm not sure what the penalty is, but my colleague did say that a season ticket not getting "pinged" for a game does result in some kind of penalty for the season ticket holder. Maybe enough misses cause a point system deduction, but I'm just guessing.
