Right, I need to clarify. The Clinton issue was solved long ago.

I was figuring artvandalay wanted to link the two situations, Clinton and HCGM and his allegations during this investigation.

        • Looks like Eric Stevenson’s waiver was granted. Very Glad he is gone. Never liked his toxic ‘tude

          • This current silence makes no sense to me. If you are going to fire somebody, you just fire them as you do not want them hanging around and possibly casuing trouble. Shockers Unfiltered said GM was fired for cause a few days ago. That clearly is wrong. I do not think WSU is heading toward that direction with GM getting the "personal reasons" absences he is being given. If an employee was about to fired, you do not let him take vacation days before being fired.

From what I have read, GM can only be terminated for good cause if he has first been given an official "strike 1" and given a chance to respond to it. Is it possible that WSU gave GM his strike 1 this week with certain other conditions like admission of guilt, a pay cut, anger management or some other types of restitution and GM is not real happy about it? GM is trying to decide if he wants the deal or to move on maybe?

Or is this some type of negotiation tactic by GM to leave with a large severance?

Or maybe he is trying to decide if wants to go scorched earth back on WSU for knowing about the issues and not addressing them years ago?

Maybe I am overthinking things, but this whole thing is not shaking out to me like GM is about to get fired. He may not be our coach much longer, but I do not think he will be flat out fired if he leaves.

Has this been a strange ordeal or what?

There is no excuse for a history professor to ever put their hands on a student, run them down in front of other students, or to visit their living quarters. Good coaches are physically touching students on a near daily basis, are having to get lazy 19 year-olds' attention for not attending classes or paying attention/participating at practice, and sometimes have to check in on their where abouts at night to make sure they are obeying curfew and not out smoking dope at 3am. A history professor that never played D1 sports cannot possibly understand or relate to that dynamic, even if they imagine they can.

I expect experienced presidents and athletic directors to better understand that dynamic, because if they are experienced they have seen it play out over and over and have "heard it all". 19-year olds make bad decisions often. Coaches rarely. That doesn't mean coaches are infallible, but generally the adult in the room is ... the adult.
This is one of the smartest posts I’ve seen.

Maybe that will give his dad something else to think about.

LOL. I commented on the picture, asking them where they got their info, since they're not the official page. They commented back to me, but took it down before I could read it and deleted the photo.

                  Operation Gaslight has another setback.

The silence from WSU is strange, but when it comes to firing an employee it really all depends on what kind of people you work for. Everyone has a different philosophy when it comes to that process. My guess right about now is they want to replace him with a actual coach that will be under contract for awhile before they actually fire him.. As far as Marshall and his entire inner circles silence, this reeks of gag order. And if not under gag order they probably received some kind of notification that said something along the lines of "Do not interfere with this legal matter"

                    • Maybe we'll end up with severe whiplash but the extended out for personal reasons less than 2 weeks before the season doesn't bode well.

I'm guessing he was served his notice of termination for cause yesterday and now the ball is in his court to respond. Hence the unsubstantiated rumor he was escorted off campus yesterday.

Is it optimistic or pathetic that I hope he's out because he is currently battling CoVid and was the source for the team outbreak...

Very well could have been served a modified contract with stipulations added as an option to avoid termination. Now it's in his court to decide if he is willing to accept that.
