I mentioned Nowell too. You didn’t mention the extra love that the Wichita sportscasters have been giving to Nowell. Was he a Top 10 pick too? He also was an UFA as was Craig Porter. But, that doesn’t stop CP from being mentioned last, and least with no interviews. Sounds like a Big 12, KSU, KU bias to me.

Team results determine the pecking order and the amount of limelight. Of course that's not Craig's fault.

Then why did you say anything? My post was referring to the local media (Eagle, 12, 10, 3) being NE KS, and always placing the Big 12, and KU/KSU first on their coverage. It's worse than it ever has been.

The only reason I included him was because he is Big 12, The same thing will happen next year (just like last year) when he isn't in the Big 12 anymore. If you knew more about local media, you'd know that, but my point was about the BIG PICTURE. Not about just Grady. If you knew our local media, you probably might have recognized that. I would expect that behavior from KC media.

Not sure it was the same year, but a fan in the cheap seats (top row) hurled a loaded wienie towards the floor after a horrible call… the aluminum foil and bun came off the dog and the naked wienie almost made it to the court. The perpetrator received an immediate ‘pink slip’ from security. Still one of the funniest things I’ve witnessed in the arena. I might have coined it Weinergate. Those were the days…
