I don’t understand players like Dex and Mo entering the portal for their senior years, when there best chance to take advantage of the NIL rules would be staying at a school they had been at for 3 or 4 years. They are household names in Wichita and if they leave their new fans and business don’t know them personally, thus reducing their chances for NIL money. I know WSU had met with Mo and Dex to discuss upcoming NIL deals for them the day before they entered the portal. My thoughts aren’t just for Dex and Mo, but almost any seniors that have been long time starters. I hope I am wrong for both of the guys, but I am not sure either of them will be starters at whatever schools they end up going to, again hurting their NIL potential.

I guess the question is whether NIL money even moves the needle for players like Mo and Dex. Maybe they’re looking for one last chance to play in the NCAA, or earn a degree at a different school. Lots of different reasons to want a change of scenery.
