Big Deacons fan when R. Rodgers and Randolph Childress were tearing up the ACC. Right before Duncan arrived. High level basketball.

    Always liked Coach Odum (RIP).

Nobody knows if we're even going to play ball in 20-21. It's Wake Forest. Tim Duncan. CP3. He gets paid. Life changing money. It's not Boston College, or Rutgers. Coach Forbes is 55. How many more "better" opportunities do you think he'll have if he passes?

You take the ring. Zero question about it.
Could not agree more with this thinking. WF gave Manning six years IMO SF will hold the position of HC at WF until he retires. WF is a great school and a great place to live.

Well apparently Jans in the mix for ETSU. They like the Marshall coaching tree there apparently.

That's a head scratcher. Lateral move at best for Jans. Unless there is something going with administration or something at NMS.

Could be exposure and proximity to a better recruiting base. New Mexico is dead man’s territory.

Wasn't Forbes making a little more than $600.000 at ETSU? I'm not sure if NMSU is paying that much, and Jans may be negotiating a new contract.

My guess is that NMS could match whatever money ETSU is willing to pay. It's not like we're talking about Duke or something, it's ETSU.

He hasn't seemed to have had much trouble recruiting players he can win with at NMS.

Not his 'best' interview, but still a solid 'ground rule double'.

I have been to Las Cruces 300% more than I would like to, and I've only been there three times!

Their on campus golf course is nice, however, and year round!
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

                            Lots of good info.

He is really chapped about last years team. I’m anxious to see how that effects next years team.

He is opposed to the immediate eligibility of transfers, would like to see players profit off their name and likeness.

He held his HS’s scoring record until it was broke by a freshman JJ Reddick. Coach was a baller.

He sounded put off by the NCAA not taking action against coaches implicated or named in the shoe scandal.

You ever hear an addict talk about their best high, or a drunk about their favorite liquor, or a sex addict talk about their right hand? That’s the same way Coach talks about winning. Dude is addicted to it.

                            Lots of good nuggets.

                              That "right hand" reference... LMAO!

Coach Forbest wastes no time taking a shot at UK academics. LOL. Love it!

"I think the most important thing is, why would you go to Wake for three years, put all that time in to get this prestigious degree, and end up getting your degree at a place like Kentucky?" Forbes said he told Sarr during a radio interview with North Carolina-based WSJS on Tuesday.

Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes said he asked Olivier Sarr why he'd want to get his degree "at a place like Kentucky" when he could stay with the Demon Deacons. Sarr, who averaged 13.7 points and 9.0 rebounds last season, has entered the transfer portal.
